4. “When There Was Me & You”

In season one, episode six, the East High students rally together to try and save Miss Jenn from getting fired. In the interim, Carlos runs the rehearsal and they’re trying to get through a scene, when Ricky suggests that maybe, as Gabriella, Nini sings a solo acoustic version of “When There Was Me and You,” which gets shot down by pretty much everyone except Gina. Carlos then has a minor meltdown after revealing what’s going on with Miss Jenn, and everyone leaves the rehearsal, leaving just Gina and Ricky as the last to leave.

Gina then asks him if she can hear the acoustic idea, and he obliges.
