Birdy - NRJ Awards 2013

Birdy is gorgeous in green as she arrives at the 2013 NRJ Music Awards held at Palais des Festivals on Saturday night (December 14) in Cannes, France.

During the show, the 17-year-old singer hit the stage to sing “Mandela Day” with James Blunt.

Birdy tweeted afterwards, “Loved performing at the #NMA tonight, thank you for having me @NRJhitmusiconly xx.”

“I am very attached to these new songs because they are more personal, they tell my own story and I dreamed for so long of writing,” she spoke of her new album, Fire Within. “I imagined some songs when I was very young, I have written some others during the tour, too.”
