Derek Hough Suffers Foot Injury - Will He Still Compete on 'DWTS'?

The 29-year-old pro dancer apparently spent the night in the emergency room following Monday’s (April 20) live taping of Dancing With the Stars.

“Long night in the ER with @derekhough nothing worse than seeing a fellow dancer get hurt especially your brother,” his pal Mark Ballas captioned an Instagram photo, which has since been deleted. “But he had me @bcjean and @corkyballas there by his side. #fam.”

Derek reportedly suffered a broken toe, and severely sprained ankle with possible ligament damage. He hit his foot on a piece of equipment and when he went to ice it, he fell down the stairs.

In addition to performing on DWTS with gymnast Nastia Liukin, Derek is also the male lead in the New York Spring Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall, which is scheduled to run until May 3. He will have to miss out on tomorrow night’s performance. There’s no word on whether he will continue with either project.
