Maddie & Tae Perform With Lee Ann Womack At 'Start Here' Launch Party

Maddie & Tae pose with their platinum records for “Girl In A Country Song” during their album launch party held at The Cordelle on Tuesday night (August 18) in Nashville, Tenn.

The girls — Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye — threw the ultimate bash were guests were actually greeted at the door by David Spielberg, the infamous male lead character from their “Girl In A Country Song” vid and were treated to the girls’ favorite Southern foods as well as digital copies of their new album, Start Here.

“We are so excited!” Tae shared. “We have been writing this album since we were fifteen years old so you will hear our stories and about our lives from the past five years.”

Maddie added, “We purposefully made a record that covered so many topics and sounded different so we didn’t pigeonholed ourselves.”

During the party, Maddie and Tae even performed with surprise guest, and their idol, Lee Ann Womack, singing her hit “A Little Past Little Rock.”

“I just want to say one thing about these girls, they came on my radar about a year ago when I started digging a little deeper with them. The thing I love most about these girls right here is that at a time when so much focus is on other things, these girls seem to focus on the music and that is so important and very special,” Lee Ann shared.
