It might be 2017 — but everytime the Golden Globe Awards roll around, we still think about Gina Rodriguez and her amazing win at the 2015 awards.

The Jane The Virgin actress not only beat out so many amazing network stars, but she’s the first ever from the CW to win (Best Performance in a Television Series � Musical or Comedy) and her speech! Her speech was possibly the most inspiring thing to hear and watch — and it still is.

“Thank you to my mom and my dad for telling me to dream big and to never stop dreaming. To my siblings, my sisters Ivelisse and Rebecca, for being the biggest role models in my life,” Gina shared on the verge of tears.

She continued, “This award is so much more than myself. It represents a culture that wants to see themselves as heroes. My father used to tell me to say every morning that today is going to be a great day. I can and I will. Well, Dad, today’s a great day. I can and I did.”
