Cameron Boyce on Diversity in Hollywood: 'It's Something We Have To Keep Working On'

Cameron Boyce and Logan Shroyer strike a pose inside the Autism Speaks ‘Into The Blue’ Gala held at Union Station on Saturday (October 21) in Los Angeles.

The two young actors joined The Good Doctor‘s Freddie Highmore for the event.

Recently speaking with Teen Vogue, Cameron opened up about tackling diversity in Hollywood.

“There’s a lot of people in Hollywood who don’t look like me or don’t have similar features like me,” he said. “When it’s a lead [role], it’s very hard to come by. We sort of are working to change that.”

“That is something that is important to everyone of color, a minority. It’s very important for people not only see in Hollywood and feel represented but also sort of even the playing field a bit,” Cameron adds.

He continues, “But we got to keep it going because Hollywood is still really, really white. We got to fix it. And we’re doing good.”
