Harry Potter Weekends Will End on Freeform & Move to HBO

Harry Potter weekends have become a staple on Freeform for years and JJJ finds itself looking forward to the next — however, it’s all ending.

Starting in the new year, the films will stop airing like that on the network because of a new deal with NBCUniversal and HBO, which will bring the films there, beginning on January 1st, Collider reports.

With the new deal, HBO will celebrate by airing Sorcerer’s Stone on New Year’s Day, starting at 9AM ET/PT and end it with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in the early hours of January 2nd.

The whole marathon starts again the next day on January 2nd at 8PM ET/PT, airing one Potter film a night through January 10th.

No word on what Freeform will replace their famed Harry Potter Weekends with on the network, if anything.
