The season three finale revealed a brief, surprising coming out by one of the show’s main characters.

If you remember, earlier in this season, Ashlyn (Julia Lester) had her own journey of figuring out her sexuality while at camp, and even seemingly developing a crush on Maddox (Saylor Bell).

Just a few weeks ago, creator and showrunner Tim Federle even opened up about the possibility of a queer storyline for Joshua Bassett‘s Ricky, something that fans have been hoping for throughout the season.
