Amy Purdy and Derek Hough have continued to wow us every week and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for their final dances — a freestyle and salsa.
“Amazing week of practice! So sad to be towards the end of this incredible journey but so excited to show you what we have been working on! #purdyhough #dwts,” Amy wrote during her last week of practice.

The now 29-year-old pro dancer joined partner Amy Purdy at the studio on his birthday to get ready for the Dancing With The Stars finale next week.
“Spending my birthday getting Amy ready for the finals . Let’s do this !!! Thank you all for the love,” Derek tweeted.
Amy added, “Happy birthday to this amazing, beautiful and talented human being. I am so grateful for this amazing journey we have experienced together. @derekhough , you were put here to “move” people and that you have! Love you :)”

Amy Purdy kicks up her runners high for a Quickstep during Monday night’s (May 12) Dancing With The Stars in Los Angeles.
Along with pro partner Derek Hough, the duo scored 39 points for their dance set to probably the most appropriate quickstep song ever, “You Can’t Hurry Love” by The Supremes.
They followed it up with a hot jazz number, also earning 39 points.
“Here we go… No matter what happens, thank you all for your love & support on this amazing journey! #DWTS #PurdyHough,” Amy tweeted just before the results, adding later, “WE’RE SAFE!!! Thank you everyone for voting! Keep it going!”

Amy Purdy hangs on to her Americana bag while arriving at the dance studio in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon (May 9).
The 34-year-old athlete and pro partner, Derek Hough, 28, will be taking a Jazz and Quickstep for the semi-finals.
“This week we have two dances. For the jazz, we have a weird, traditional remix song. We haven’t really started on the jazz yet. But the quickstep, we have something special up our sleeve. I don’t know if it’s ever been done before,” Derek revealed in his TVGuide blog.
He continued, “Amy is dancing with brand spankin’ new legs. We’ve all seen this before, but in a completely different context. But in this routine, it’s absolutely remarkable. We’re able to do stuff that we never would’ve been able to do with her other feet. It was my idea at the beginning, but we weren’t really sure if it would work. But we decided to try it and then we were both like, ‘Oh, my gosh! Wow! This is incredible!’ We just lost our minds for a second. I hope I’m not overselling this too much, but I am really excited about it. I’ll just say this: None of our dances have been traveling dances, if you’ve noticed. So think about that!”

After sitting out almost all of practice and just watching pro partner Derek Hough at the studio for their Argentine tango, the 34-year-old athlete hit the dance floor on Monday night’s (May 5) Dancing With The Stars and earned a PERFECT SCORE!
