Ariana Grande‘s video for “thank u, next” is going to be so epic that there can’t be just one version!
The 25-year-old singer took to her Twitter account to tease more details about the video, including how the “first cut” of the video will be close to the length of the song.
We already knew that Ari will be paying homage to four of her favorite movies – Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, 13 Going on 30, and Bring It On – throughout the video.
Now, we also know that someone will be playing Regina George’s mom in the music video and there will be multiple versions of the video as well.
The mom will not be played by Kim Kardashian, but whoever is playing her mom will play it as if she were Joan Grande!

We’re pretty sure that a music video has not been as highly anticipated as Ariana Grande‘s “thank u, next” in a long time!
The 25-year-old singer has been sharing photos from the set of the video in which she pays homage to four of her favorite romantic comedy movies – Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, 13 Going on 30, and Bring It On.
For Mean Girls she posted a photo of her and two gal pals which she captioned, “meet the plastics.”
For Legally Blonde, Ariana was joined by the film’s star Jennifer Coolidge and she also shared the quote, “whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed.”
For 13 Going on 30, Ari got into Jenna Rink’s shoes as a “big time magazine editor” and she also shared a photo of a doll house like the one in the movie.
Finally, Ariana shared photos of herself dressed in a cheerleading uniform and shared the Bring It On quote, “i transferred from los angeles, your school has no gymnastics team this issaalast resort …….. ok i’ve never cheered before so what?”
We can’t wait to see the new video!
Ariana Grande has got Little Mix‘s back!
The 25-year-old singer took to Twitter support the girl group after Piers Morgan called them out for using nudity in a recent photo shoot.
Piers originally tweeted that the group had copied the Dixie Chicks and Ariana‘s mom Joan responded that the women were simply paying homage.
The television personality then brought Ariana into the drama, suggesting Little Mix “use their talent to sell records rather than their nudity. As your own daughter does.”
Ariana immediately clapped back at the tweets, explaining women can be both talented and use their sexuality.
“I use my talent AND my sexuality all the time because i choose to. women can be sexual AND talented. naked and dignified. it’s OUR choice. đź–¤ & we will keep fighting til people understand. i say this w all due respect but thank u, next,” Ariana wrote.
She added, “also @piersmorgan, i look forward to the day you realize there are other ways to go about making yourself relevant than to criticize young, beautiful, successful women for everything they do. i think that’ll be a beautiful thing for you and your career or what’s left of it. đź–¤”

The 25-year-old superstar keeps teasing pics honoring some of our favorite comedies like Mean Girls and Legally Blonde as she films her video for her newest single, “thank u, next.”

“i’m on an all carb diet GOD KAREN U ARE SO STooPID,” she captioned one post with friends, referencing one of the many quotes from Mean Girls.
“whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed,” she captioned another, sitting behind a 1999 Apple iBook – a direct reference to Reese Witherspoon‘s Elle Woods in Legally Blonde.
She teased the Legally Blonde vibes even further by posing with Jennifer Coolidge: “new best friend …. thank u, next,” she captioned their cute photo together.
Most recently, Ari teased a photo of a dollhouse, suggesting that she might not be done with the movie references for the music video!
Plus, she paid already homage to First Wives Club with her first live performance of “thank u, next” on Ellen.

“‘Thank U, Next’ officially platinum. Don’t worry, you’re still getting a video,” Ariana wrote.
In the caption, Ariana added, “thank u đź’ż i love u đź–¤”

Ariana Grande is showing off a text message conversation she had with Halsey!
The “God is a woman” singer took to her Instagram Stories on Friday (November 16) to post the screenshot between herself and the “Bad at Love” crooner.
The exchange appears to have taken place as they duo learned they had the top two spots on the U.S. iTunes chart with their hit songs – Halsey‘s “Without Me” and Ariana‘s “Thank U, Next.”
“Honestly just happy it’s us rn,” Halsey texted Ariana. “The ladies need us. Time for an uprising.” She added, “Attention world: we are no longer taking ur s–t.”
“AT. ALL,” Ari replied.
Besides having the top songs, the two have also both recently gone through highly publicized breakups – Ariana with ex-fiance Pete Davidson and Halsey with ex G-Eazy.
