Bea Miller has debuted her next new video for “Warmer”.
The singer opened up about the track and feel of the video, which picks up right where “buy me diamonds” left off, and finds her considering a new relationship.
“When you’re my age, it’s hard for people to be on the same page or admit how they feel about one another all the time because times can be uncomfortable or scary or whatever else,” Bea shared with Paper mag.
“So we made a video of [my love interest] trying to return the necklace [to me] and me constantly trying to go to where he’s at while he’s trying to find me at the same time,” she adds. “I felt it was the best way to capture how annoying that can be but also how exciting that can be in a short amount of time.”
Bea Miller sits on the steps of her new apartment with her besties in her new “Buy Me Diamonds” music video.
If you’ve detected a hint of sarcasm in the song, it’s supposed to be there, according to Bea.
“[The song] is very sarcastic. I was thinking of this previous relationship, and at that point it was, ‘How dare you try to come back into my life after how you made me feel about myself?’”
Bea adds, “So the sarcasm stemmed from anger. But anger can be very empowering – I think it can be used to create something amazing.”
Bea Miller has a crazy, late night drive in her music video for “like that”.
The singer opened up to People about the track ahead of the video’s debut.
“I wrote ‘Like That’ on the day when I woke up and thought, ‘I’m done feeling sorry for myself and I’m done letting other people bring me to a point where I think I should.’”
Bea adds, “I remember feeling so angry that I had been so sad for so long and literally forced myself to get over it and be a stronger and happier person. It’s difficult, but it’s doable.”
The songstress dropped three new songs with her red phase in Chapter Two.
“Chapter One [blue] is some of the songs that I wrote during that initial sadness and that initial loneliness, and kind of regret of realizing somebody that you really care about does not work for you anymore,” Bea explained to NKD mag.
“Chapter Two is red, which is the songs that I wrote when I was in the middle of that, when I was like, ‘Okay, this is the reality, and I’m kind of angry, and I wish it wasn’t happening, but I’m also empowered and inspired to move on and be a better person and develop as my own self’.”
Bea Miller fans get ready — she’s planning a tour!
The singer, who is releasing her brand new songs this week, opened up to NKD mag about her plans to meet her fans on the road.
“I want to travel, I want to interact with people, I want to hear what they think about the music and how it makes them feel, and how it has affected them, whether that be negative or positive,” she shared.
“I want to connect with people face to face,” Bea adds.
Plans are underway for a tour in the fall. Check back for dates!
