The upcoming series is based on the book of the same name by Sophia Amoruso. Britt has been getting some tips on set from Sophia herself and shared a photo of the pair together.
“First day of shooting for #Girlboss…thanks #Netflix and friends @kaykaycannon @sophiaamoruso #ItsNotOfficialUntilThereIsAPhoto,” she wrote late last month when filming began.
The 26-year-old actress just landed the lead role in Netflix’s upcoming comedy series Girlboss, according to THR.
Inspired by the best-selling book #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso, Britt will star as Sophia, “a rebellious, broke anarchist who refuses to grow up. She stumbles upon her passion of selling vintage clothes online and becomes an unlikely businesswoman. As she builds her retail fashion empire, she realizes the value and the difficulty of being the boss of her own life.”
Britt is best known for her work on the short-lived CW shows, The Secret Circle and Life Unexpected, as well as films Tomorrowland and The Longest Ride.

In case you don’t remember, the 26-year-old actress starred alongside her boyfriend in 2012′s The First Time.
Given that both her beau and her BFF Shelley Hennig star on Teen Wolf, Britt recently opened up about the possibility of maybe appearing on that show.
“I don’t know, I want to save working with Dylan for something really different,” Britt told Teen.com. “That would also have to be so far away from now. It would be so hard for us to work together; I feel like I would have a hard time working with him. So, as much as I would love to work with Shell, we’d have to do it on something else.”
