Colleen Ballinger is looking ahead to 2018 by looking back.

The digital creator revealed on Instagram today that she actually started Miranda Sings, one of the most popular YouTube personalities, on Christmas Eve 10 years ago.

“10 years ago on Christmas Eve, I turned on my camera and made my first video as Miranda Sings,” she wrote. “What a crazy decade it’s been.”

Colleen added, “So excited for what’s to come in 2018!”

Colleen Ballinger has opened up about her own “really, really bad” audition for The Voice.

The YouTube star behind the Miranda Sings character dished on the experience that happened when Miranda was just starting to get popular.

“I auditioned for The Voice. Isn’t that a weird little bit of information?” she said. “I auditioned many, many, many years ago, it was like right when Miranda started to get popular. The Voice heard of me and found out about me, and wanted me to go audition.”

“All I can remember is the room was really dark. It was like pitch black dark in the room I was auditioning in, and there were cameras everywhere,” she continued. “I sang ‘Price Tag’ A Capella.”

JoJo Siwa and Miranda Sings have teamed up for a series of YouTube collabs!

The two YouTubers joined forces for 12 Days of Collabs and in the latest, the dancer and singer gives Miranda a makeover of her signature style.

“I GAVE MIRANDA SINGS A JOJO MAKEOVER!!!! It was amazing!!!!” she wrote on Instagram.

The week before, Miranda gave JoJo a makeover into her signature red lip and pants, and striped shirt look.

The two have been releasing collabs together for the past week, including a dance battle, two truths and one lie, a slime war, carpool karaoke, burning YouTuber books and more.

Just before the weekend got here, Netflix decided to spoil it with the news that they had cancelled Haters Back Off.

Based on Colleen Ballinger‘s YouTube personality Miranda Sings, the show will not be returning for a third season on the streaming service. However, YouTube does have the option of bringing it to their platform.

Just following the news, Colleen shared a heartbreaking image on her Instagram that encompasses all our feelings.

“The fact that anything has happened from that, is just crazy,” Colleen told JJJ recently about Miranda and Haters Back Off. “It blows my mind.”

Miranda Sings is looking for a new boyfriend… in Ben Platt!

The YouTube star posted a new video where she basically auditions for his role in the Broadway smash Dear Evan Hansen.

“I never seen the show, but I think Ben Platt should be my boyfriend,” Miranda says in the video. “So if I show Ben that I can play the part, then it will show him that he can take a break from the Broadway show, and then I can do it. And then we can both be Broadway stars and we can be dating. So Ben, this is for you.”

In case you didn’t know, The Real O’Neals actor Noah Galvin just took over the role of Evan Hansen from Ben on Broadway. Looks like Miranda might have to wait a little longer for her dream.

Colleen Ballinger kicks off her new Miranda Sings tour TOMORROW in New Zealand!

The digital creator and actress spoke to JJJ ahead of leaving for the island nation about which cities she was excited to travel to this time around, and no surprise, New Zealand was her number one.

“New Zealand is one place I’m excited to get back to,” Colleen told us. “I love it there, it’s beautiful and I’m hoping I get a little time off there to explore a bit more.”

Colleen is also looking forward to going to Hawaii in December: “Just because it is Hawaii.”

“I’m going to take some time off there and bring my family out and relax on the beach after the shows,” she told us. “Hopefully, I’ll be meeting a bunch of people and fans on the beach so we can hang out.

She added, “I’m excited for every city. This year is just filled with awesome cities and next year’s as well. it’s going to be such a blast. My goal will be to get as many as my family and friends to come on tour with me as possible to experience this with them too.”

We all know by now that being a professional vlogger isn’t just filming five minutes a day and uploading the video — it’s much more, and Colleen Ballinger can tell you all about it.

The digital creator behind Miranda Sings spoke to JJJ about the characters’ creation and just how much time she spends with Miranda every day.

“It’s a lot of hard work, but totally worth it,” she confesses.

Colleen adds, “I think people watch my videos and think that she only films for three minutes a day and it’s just a character for those three minutes, but in reality, Miranda is a huge part of my life.”

So how much time does Colleen really spend on Miranda? All the free time she has, is almost non-existent.

“If you ask any one of my family or friends if I ever took a break, they would laugh at you. It’s a 24/7 job,” she tells us before breaking down her film schedule.

“For me personally, I am a night owl and that’s when I’ll come up with my ideas and write out scripts for a few hours,” Colleen says. “Depending on what type of video it is, I’ll come up with that concept and shoot my videos in chunks.”

She continues, “On a typical Saturday, I’ll be shooting about three or four videos at once and edit it throughout the entire week and do the title, market it, put up the picture on social media, and all that stuff.”

“That is a full time job. But when I’m not working on that, I’m working on Haters Back Off, or the tour. I’m working non stop, but I love what I do.”
