David Archuleta hangs out with CAA rep John Huie backstage at the “We’re All For The Hall” benefit concert for the Country Music Hall of Fame held at the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tenn., on Tuesday night (October 13).
The 18-year-old singer also met up with good pal and former costar Jennette McCurdy plus Lady Antebellum lead singer Hillary Scott.
David tweeted from the event, singing out some country tunes: “I feel no shame I’m proud of where I came from I was born and raised in the boondocks! I love this song!” The song is “Boondocks” from Sugarland and Little Big Town.

The 18-year-old musician is also nominated for Best Year in Music — JJJ spies a picture with David carrying an ALMA Award! Hopefully that mean’s he won!

David Archuleta belts his heart out to “America The Beautiful” as he performs at the 2009 U.S. Open held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Sunday afternoon (September 13).
The 18-year-old singer was joined by United States Marine Corps, 6th Communications Battalion, Brooklyn NY in the anthem.
David tweeted from the world-class tennis match, “Got done singing ‘America the Beautiful!’ So neat especially with the marines! Gonna watch some of the game now! Feeling really tired for some reason, but what a great day! Thanks so much you guys for watching tonight and your comments! Good night!”

The 18-year-old American Idol alum recently caught up with MLive.com to chat about his recent TCA wins, solo shows and his upcoming Christmas album. Check it:
On his upcoming holiday record: “I’m really excited about the Christmas album, because it will show a side of music that I connected to on the show, but not so much with the pop music. It’s all about those emotional and heartfelt songs.”
On loving his solo shows: “I love doing my own shows. Everyone who comes out to the show actually paid to come watch you perform, which is a strange thought if you really think about it — haha. The crowd feels a lot more intimate, and I feel like I’m at a more personal level at my own shows. There’s just a great vibe that I feel from the audience, and it only makes me want to put on a better show.”
On the shock of his recent Teen Choice Award wins: “I think the breakout artist (award) was the most surprising and exciting for me, because it feels like I’ve been able to keep myself moving forward and continuing after American Idol.”
David Archuleta speaks at the “Children Uniting Nations” 4th Annual National Conference held at The House Capitol Building on Tuesday afternoon (June 9) in Washington, D.C.
The 18-year-old American Idol alum tweeted after the event, saying, “Just had a press conference for Children Uniting Nations. Such inspiring speakers. I’m so tired though! couldn’t sleep.” Speakers included Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Children Uniting Nations founder Daphna Ziman.

David Archuleta keeps a big smile on his face as he arrives for the American Idol Season 8 Grand Finale at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (May 20).
The 18-year-old “Touch My Hands” singer recently made a visit to Manila, Phillipines with good pal David Cook. The duo performed back-to-back concerts at the Mall of Asia.
David shared on his YouTube about the trip, saying, “Wanted to give a quick thanks to everyone! Manila show was so great! Thanks everyone for coming to the show!!” Check out YouTube for his performances!

David Archuleta and American Idol judge Paula Abdul strike a pose at the 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards held at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon (March 28).
The 18-year-old “Crush” crooner and Paula accepted the award for Fave Reality Show for American Idol during the ceremony.
David recently performed to a sold-out crowd in his hometown of West Valley, Utah. He yelled to the crowd before performing, “It feels so good to be home, you guys! This is amazing! This is awesome! I can’t believe how unbelievably crazy this is, my first hometown show.”
