While Arrow‘s Felicity is spending time and working at Helix, she’s going to run into someone who is going to be major trouble — could it be Vigilante unmasked?
“What’s interesting about it is he’s not actually at Helix right now, so there’s going to be a big episode where we find out who this person is,” EP Wendy Mericle told Entertainment Weekly recently.
Felicity will be meeting him first, before anyone else on Team Arrow and she won’t have any idea that he’s evil.
“Felicity is involved in helping him,” Wendy adds. “It’s really messed up.”
No kidding!
If you remember, Felicity is at Helix with the sole purpose of getting revenge against Prometheus and Adrian.

Arrow has almost turned everyone who’s been on the show into a villain or superhero by now, haven’t they?
There’s just one character who’s the odd ball out — Felicity Smoak — but don’t get your hopes up that she’ll become one on the show.
“There’s two lines in the sand that I’ve drawn for Arrow for myself,” EP Marc Guggenheim shared with EW. “I can’t speak for Greg [Berlanti] or for Wendy [Mericle], but for as long as I’m involved with the show, the two things I never want to do is kill off Thea and put Felicity in a mask and a costume.”
“Those, to me, are two lines that I just think are a bridge too far.”
However, we did see Felicity as a tech-based superhero on the most recent episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow – where the team actually created an alternate world.
He explains his reasons: “Thea, because we’ve taken so many family members away from Oliver, and Felicity because when you put a character like that in a costume, I think it diminishes who that character is and it makes the idea of superheroics seem silly.”
I think we’re all good with Felicity being the anchor of the team, yes? And even more, keeping Thea around? Most definitely yes.
Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim just shared a super spoilery piece of artwork which has Felicity (played by Emily Bett Rickards) as a superhero!
Felicity turns into the mysterious superhero for Legends of Tomorrow‘s next episode called “Doomsworld” on The CW.
The episode shows what happens after the Legion of Doom recently obtained the Spear of Destiny – they actually rewrite their reality, creating their own kingdom in which each of the heroes suffers their own personal punishments.
The fact that both of them get into the shit is one of the ways that they gravitate back towards one another,” he shared. “They have a common malady, so to speak.
She, above anyone else, is the person that he’s going to go to, if he has something to confide or work through.”
He explains of his two best friends: “Diggle is very much the soothsayer and the person who can give him a good piece of advice. But in terms of a heart to heart and a dynamic conversation, Felicity is the one for him.”
“The fact that she’s going through something like that, maybe that’s going to cause him to open up.”
And it looks like the showrunners agree…More Here! »
“That’s not really up to me, but I will say that they have some really, really cool stuff coming up,” Stephen shared, giving all Olicity fans everywhere a little bit of hope when it comes to the estranged couple.
Whether that will happen in the next episode or, even five, remains a mystery still.
According to science, you need four types of friends in your life: the “Prophet”, the “Cheerleader”, the “Harasser” and the “Inspiration”.
Good thing that we can find all of these friends on the CW on our favorite shows.
We already feel like Felicity Smoak, Iris West, Mary, Queen of Scots, Clarke Griffin and more from the CW are the best friends we need in our lives, so it’s a good thing that science just proved that we DO need them in our lives.

It looks like Thea and Felicity are working together on something big on tonight’s all-new Arrow.
In “Fighting Fire with Fire”, Oliver (Stephen Amell) faces his biggest challenge yet as mayor, and contemplates resigning from office — but Thea (Willa Holland) isn’t happy with that idea at all and goes to Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) for help.
Meanwhile, after Vigilante attacks Oliver while he’s acting as the mayor, Diggle (David Ramsey) leads the team in a mission to stop Vigilante once and for all.
