Executive Producer Karey Burke dished to E Online about Mischa‘s character, Sonja Stone, in the upcoming series, saying, “It’s dealing with a character that is living her life in the spotlight, being hounded by the paparazzi, who is at a massive turning point in her career, where it’s sort of make-it or break-it time, and there are things thematically where it’s exactly what’s going on with Mischa‘s life, and she’s embracing all of them.”
Also in attendance at the fashion show: Nico Tortorella.

In the pilot, up-and-coming model Raina Marinelli (Sara Paxton) is deemed the new It girl during New York Fashion Week, stealing the spotlight from veteran model Sonja Stone (Mischa Barton), who’s been out of the country for unknown reasons. Meanwhile, Iowa native Chris Andrews (Hollingsworth) arrives in New York City and gets his first taste of the modeling world.

Sara Paxton keeps close to costar Nico Tortorella as they attend a special advanced screening of Spread at the UA East Hampton 6 in New York on Saturday afternoon (August 8).
The 21-year-old actress was also accompanied by her Beautiful Life costars Ben Hollingsworth and Jordan Woolley.
Sara also attended the screening for Spread in California while she was there for the TCA presentation of The Beautiful Life.

TBL: The Beautiful Life costars Sara Paxton and Ashley Madekwe keep close together as they attend the NSF Clothing Project launch to benefit The Humane Society’s Stop Puppy Mills Campaign held at NYC’s Morgans Hotel on Wednesday evening (July 22).
The duo, plus their TBL costars Corbin Bleu, Ben Hollingsworth and Nico Tortorella, have all moved to NYC to start filming the first season on the CW series. Mischa Barton is currently still in California seeking medical treatment.
