Hayley Kiyoko and Normani both wear green looks while attending the 2019 Billboard Women In Music event held at Hollywood Palladium on Thursday night (December 12) in Los Angeles.
The 28-year-old “I Wish” singer hosted the event, while the 23-year-old “Motivation” singer presented an honor to Nicki Minaj.
“Hosting the Billboard Women in Music event and being surrounded by such strong, talented and beautiful women today – it truly was a #FearlessMoment. We are all working so hard to create change and inspire hope within this industry and the world at large. I am so honored to be part of such a fierce community of women,” Hayley shared on Instagram after the event.
Normani is nervously dishing on her celebrity crush!
The 23-year-old “Motivation” singer opened up this weekend about a certain hunky actor that she’s crushing on, but didn’t flat out say his name.
“If you had to date a celebrity, not to start any rumors, but if you had to,” an interviewer started to ask before Normani interrupted with, “Actually, this could help me out. I’ma put it out there.”
Normani got super nervous and added that he’s “just really nice to look at.” She then said, “Oh god, I’m nervous! Um, have you seen Creed? Yeah, great movie.”
The interviewer said, “Oh okay, a little Michael B Jordan in your life?”
“Love him. Seems like a nice guy,” Normani replied. Check out her reaction here!
Normani is looking absolutely beautiful on the cover of The Fader‘s Now issue, which is out now.
Here’s what the 23-year-old Fifth Harmony member-turned-solo star had to say…
On how being a member of 5H restricted her as an artist: “I don’t feel like while I was in the group anyone saw the truest version of me. I wasn’t allowed the opportunity to showcase that…I’m not able to go in in the way that I want to [because] of what the group was.”
On feeling alienated following an incident that resulted in racist, hateful comments from fans: “[The girls] offered support, but I’m not sure they could be there in the way that I needed because it’s not their experience…they don’t have to face on a day-to-day basis the things that I have to. I definitely learned after that that I had to walk a different way. I can’t look like everybody else.”
On the personal significance of her forthcoming album: “I’m doing this as therapy for me…to be able to get to know myself in a way that hasn’t even been revealed yet, to be vulnerable in a way that I haven’t been before. I want this to be like a diary of all women — to reflect and showcase the many layers of us. We’re not one-dimensional.”
On the list for music, which highlights songwriters, artists, record label executives, agents, and more include Normani, Chloe x Halle, Lil Nas X and more.
“Thank you @forbes 🥰,” Marsai shared on Instagram after the list was revealed.
