Rixton‘s Jake, 22, got down on one knee in front of a crowd last night with buddy Ed Sheeran playing in the background to ask Little Mix‘s Jesy, 24, to be his wife.
“A year ago today I met her at manchester arena, so it was only right, with a little help from my friend, that this happened. Best day of my life,” Jake captioned on Instagram, sharing the news with fans.
Jesyadded, “I cannot believe what has just happened! The most surreal moment of my life and everyone that I love most was there to share it with us! I feel like the luckiest girl in the world rite now literally cannot stop crying! Future Mrs Roche ??”
“Jake went away for however long on tour and, as one of my birthday presents, for every day that he was away he wrote me a letter until he came back. He was away for just over five weeks. There was a pile, he gave me to them before he went,” Jesy shared about one of the big gestures he’s done for her.
Leigh-Anne added, “My boyfriend Jordan‘s like ‘It’s Jake this, Jake that. I’ve got to start catching up. [Our boyfriends] are romantic, but Jake‘s like another species of man.”
Major League Baseball announced today that the 22-year-old “Cool For The Summer” singer will be headlining the concert instead ofAriana, who dropped out due to health issues.
“I’m so excited to be headlining the MLB All-Star Concert. I hope my fans in Cincinnati are ready to get ‘Cool for the Summer!’” Demi shared in a statement
Tony Petitti, COO, Major League Baseball added, “Demi Lovato is one of today’s best young artists and we know she will provide fans with a fantastic experience they won’t soon forget. We’re disappointed that Ariana Grande cannot partake in the All-Star festivities, but wish her a speedy recovery.”
Rixton will still open The Budweiser All-Star Concert at Paul Brown Stadium on Saturday, July 11th.
The 21-year-old entertainer is set to headline the 2015 Budweiser MLB All-Star Concert as part of the Pepsi Music Series on Saturday (July 11) at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, OH.
Also performing will be Rixton! The rain or shine concert will start at 8PM ET and there will be a special fireworks show immediately following the concert.

Ed Sheeran jumps on stage with a random fan for an impromptu duet in the middle of the mall this past weekend!
The 24-year-old singer/songwriter was walking around and shopping with Rixton‘s Jake Roche when he heard a girl singing his song “Thinking Out Loud.”
So Ed decided to surprise her on stage. Watch below!
“Went on a peaceful shopping trip with Ed to the mall,” Jakecaptioned the video. “There was a kids talent show going on and he heard someone singing ‘thinking out loud’. Only made sense. Shopping was cut short but what an incredible thing to witness.”
