Ryan McCartan has responded to Dove Cameron‘s claim that he was “terrible” to her during their four-year relationship.
The 23-year-old Rocky Horror star took to Twitter after she told fans that she’s much happier now with rumored beau Thomas Doherty.

“Take the high road, there’s less traffic,” Ryan cryptically wrote minutes after the story was published.
In case you didn’t know, Dove called off their engagement back in October and Ryan confirmed that she was the one to end things.

Dove Cameron is in a much happier place now than she was last year.
The 21-year-old Descendants star has been spending a lot of time with rumored boyfriend, co-star Thomas Doherty, and fans have noticed how happy she looks.

When one fan wrote the name of her ex-fiance, Ryan McCartan, on an Instagram photo of her and Thomas, Dove fired back, “was terrible to me.”
She also confirmed that she’s happy now that their relationship is over.

Even though they are kidding, we can’t help but think they would make a cute couple, don’t you agree?!
It all started when Ryan tweeted, “Who’s Canadian? Follow up question wanna get married?”
When a fan suggested Calum, he tweeted, “Ryan. Call me.”
Ryan then posted a ring emoji, writing, “you think I’m joking?”
All we gotta say is, if there is a wedding, JJJ better get an invite!

Ryan McCartan just announced his comeback single on social media and JJJ can’t wait to hear it!
The track will drop just after the new year on January 12th and it’s called “When You Went Away”.
After seeing the title of the song, fans immediately assumed that it’s about Ryan‘s former fiancee Dove Cameron — it’s actually kind of hard not to see that.
“Is this about Dove going away from you and breaking up with you?” one fan asked him in the comments on Instagram.
Another said: “Crying already for who it’s about…”
Even if it is about Dove, we know this will be an amazing song from Ryan and we’re counting down the days now!
