Peacock has canceled two of it’s only teen/YA shows on it’s platform!
Both One of Us is Lying and Vampire Academy have been axed by the streamer after their respective second and first seasons.
According to Deadline, “execs at Peacock were happy with both shows creatively but they just didn’t find the requisite audience to justify further seasons.”

Andrew Liner is opening up about his Peacock series Vampire Academy!
The actor stars as Mason Ashford on the show, who is charming, loyal and popular, and is Rose’s (Sisi Stringer) main competition in the quest to become the number one Guardian-in-training.
Though their relationship is casual on her side, he is hopeful she will finally look at him and see him as something more.
In a recent interview, Andrew dished on what he hopes to see in a second season of Vampire Academy, which has not been officially renewed at the time of this post.

The 25-year-old actress stars as Mia Karp in the new Peacock adaptation of the Richelle Mead novels.

Vampire Academy takes place at St. Vladmir’s Academy, which isn’t just any boarding school — it’s a hidden place where vampire royals are educated and half-human teens train to protect them from the savage ‘Strigoi’ vampires who would like to see them destroyed.

The Vampire Diaries‘ Julie Plec and Marguerite MacIntyre serve as creators, executive producers and showrunners on the new adaptation of Richelle Mead‘s books.

Based on the book series by Richelle Mead, the new show comes from showrunners Julie Plec and Marguerite MacIntyre, who also wrote and executive produce the show.
“Though we have loved Richelle Mead’s wholly original book series since it came out 15 years ago, it has never been more timely,” Julie and Marguerite shared. “A brilliant exploration of an inherently unbalanced class-based society, with pampered Royals on one end, and a Guardian class whose sole purpose is to protect them on the other, as well as an ugly dynastic change on the horizon, it’s a world teetering on the edge. And though set in an enclave (most) Humans are unaware of, it’s a world that’s all too recognizable.”

Sisi Stringer and Daniela Nieves are starring in Peacock’s upcoming series adaptation of Vampire Academy and they debuted the teaser trailer at Comic-Con!
The ladies were in attendance at the show’s panel on Thursday (July 21) at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, Calif.
Also in attendance were co-stars Kieron Moore and Andre Dae Kim, as well as series creators and executive producers Julie Plec and Marguerite MacIntyre.
Vampire Academy will premiere on Peacock on September 15.
