Austin Mahone pulls out his best Spider-Man pose with the superhero himself during his visit to Universal Orlando in Florida over the weekend.
The 19-year-old “Dirty Work” singer enjoyed attractions at both parks where he partied it up with the Minions at Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, rocked out on Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, experienced The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Austin also got to experience the parks’ annual Halloween Horror Nights 25 with Jack the Clown. Throughout the night, he experienced nine disturbingly-real haunted houses, five scare zones – and even faced one haunted house with some of his fans.
The upcoming film centers on new to town teenager Zach Cooper (Minnette), who finds a silver lining when he meets the beautiful girl, Hannah (Odeya Rush), living right next door. But every silver lining has a cloud, and Zach’s comes when he learns that Hannah has a mysterious dad who is revealed to be R. L. Stine (Black), the author of the bestselling Goosebumps series.
Goosebumps, also starring Ryan Lee, opens in theaters on October 16th.
FKA twigs puts her powerful body on display on the cover of Paper magazine’s latest issue.
Here’s what the 27-year-old entertainer had to share:
On her future: “I’m quite traditional. You know that saying, ‘You can take the girl out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the girl’? I grew up in Gloucestershire, and there’s a certain format that people fit into. I’m actually quite happy with the format. I’m quite happy to say, ‘Go to school, work hard on your GCSEs, do your A-Levels, get married, have children. Send your kids to a nice school. Make sure you’re in the right catchment area.’”
On her energy: “I throb. Do you know what I mean? I have that throbbing energy, and I accept it, and I harness it when I need to. It’s not even a conscious thing.”
On her fan interaction vs. Taylor Swift‘s fan interaction: “I think Taylor Swift is great, but I wouldn’t necessarily think, ‘Oh my god, I have to be friends with her.’ When I meet fans, they’re quite creative and intelligent, kind, sensitive. Some are old ladies, witch doctors from Louisiana, kids that have just left art school. Gay or lesbian couples, straight middle-aged couples…”
Bella Hadid and her younger brother Anwar have been suffering from Lyme disease for the last three years, their mom Yolanda Foster revealed in an emotional speech on Thursday night (October 8) in New York City.
The family, joined by Gigi Hadid, was in attendance at the Global Lyme Alliance’s gala, where Yolanda was honored for her work to fight the disease following her own diagnosis four years ago.
“When my two youngest children, Bella and Anwar, were diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease in early 2012, watching my babies struggle in silence in order to support me in my journey, struck the deepest core of hopelessness inside of me,” Yolanda said.
“This award is for Anwar and Bella. This is my token and my promise to you that I will not allow you to live a life of pain and suffering. I will walk to the end of the earth to find a cure so that you can live a healthy life that you deserve,” Yolanda added (via People). “No child should suffer the way that you do … I thank you both for your extraordinary selflessness during this journey. Your unwavering love and compassion has kept me alive and fighting through the darkest days of my life.”
On his mentor Robert Downey, Jr.: “I’m being mentored by Robert Downey Jr. at the moment. “He’s helped me prepare for how my life is going to change and that has been inspiring. I’m talking to someone who understands the power of choices, both positive and negative.”
On finding out he landed the Star Wars role: “There was already contact between me and J.J. [Abrams, the film's director]. He was a big fan of Attack the Block and we were waiting for a project where we could collaborate. They wanted to make sure they got the right person for the job. I learned that I got the part over a nice breakfast in Mayfair. J.J. said, ‘John, you’re the new star of Star Wars,’ and everything froze for a moment.”
On studyingHarrison Ford‘s old audition tapes: “He has that knowledge and it’s beautiful to watch. He has a great balance between the artistic and technical elements of acting, which is what it’s all about. He told me about his career and his house. I realized that I probably couldn’t relate to him about finances because he’s on another level.”
