Elle Fanning is an alien who falls for punk rocker Alex Sharp in the brand-new trailer for How to Talk to Girls at Parties!

The Neon Demon actress and the To the Bone actor team up in the new clip, which dropped on on Tuesday (April 3).

Directed by John Cameron Mitchell and based on a short story by Neil Gaiman, the musical rom-com also stars Nicole Kidman, Ruth Wilson, and Matt Lucas.

Here’s the synopsis: “Enn (Alex) is a shy suburban London teenager in 1977, sneaking out with his best friends to after-hours punk parties. One night they stumble upon a bizarre gathering of sexy teenagers who seem like they are from another planet. In fact, they are from another planet, visiting Earth to complete a mysterious rite of passage.”

“That doesn’t stop Enn from falling madly in love with Zan (Elle), a beautiful and rebellious alien teenage who, despite her allegiance to her strange colony, is fascinated by Enn. Together they embark on a delirious adventure through the kinetic punk rock world of 1970s London, inadvertently setting off a series of events that will lead to the ultimate showdown of punks vs. aliens, and test the limits of how far each of them will go for true love.”

How to Talk to Girls at Parties is set to hit theaters on May 18.

Netflix’s To The Bone has been under fire from some critics and viewers over it’s touchy subject of eating disorders since before it even premiered on the streaming service.

Star Lily Collins has spoken out about it before, telling press why she wanted everyone to see the movie, and her co-star, Alex Sharp, is in agreement.

“I think when you start a conversation about something that is under-discussed and you use art to convey it, I think that is incredibly powerful,” he shared in an interview with Broadway World. “But [it's] always going to create waves.”

Alex, who plays Lucas, a person in Ellen’s support group who is also battling an eating disorder.

“All of the reaction is coming off a two-minute and thirty second trailer, so I’m excited for those people who have questions about it to see the full-length movie when it comes out,” he says. “It’s got so many textures and so many layers to it that I think are important to really understand the way that Marti [Noxon] has told the story.”

Alex adds, “I think controversy is an interesting thing in that it usually goes hand in hand with starting conversations that surround taboo or under-discussed topics that need to be discussed and need to be less in the shadows, in my opinion.”

To The Bone is streaming now on Netflix.

Lily Collins donned a dark red dress and matching lipstick for the latest screening of her Netflix movie To The Bone.

The actress stepped out for the special event at The London on Thursday (Jun 29) in Los Angeles.

She was joined by her co-stars Alex Sharp, Liana Liberto, and Keanu Reeves, as well as director Marti Noxon.

Also in attendance was the real-life Dr. William Beckham, whom Keanu portrays in the movie.

To The Bone tells the story of a young woman who is dealing with anorexia when she meets an unconventional doctor who challenges her to face her condition and embrace life.
