Rachel Skarsten just booked a brand new role in The CW’s new Batwoman series!

The former Reign actress – you know her best for playing Elizabeth I, the pain in Mary, Queen of Scots’s side – has signed on to play a villain in the show.

Deadline reports that Rachel is playing Alice, the joker villain to Batwoman (Ruby Rose).

The leader of her Lewis Carroll–inspired Wonderland Gang, she swings unpredictably between maniacal and charming, and has made it her mission to undermine Gotham’s sense of security.

Batwoman focuses on Kate Kane (Rose), who soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence.

Taylor Swift says Ruby Rose is “gonna be amazing” in her new role as Batwoman on the CW show!

The “Look What You Made Me Do” crooner congratulated the Meg star in her Instagram Stories on Wednesday (August 15).

“YES @rubyrose!!” she captioned a screenshot of Variety‘s casting announcement for the series. “So excited for you, you’re gonna be amazing!”

This comes after the model and Orange Is the New Black actress deleted her Twitter following casting backlash.

“Where on earth did ‘Ruby is not a lesbian therefore she can’t be batwoman’ come from – has to be the funniest most ridiculous thing I’ve ever read. I came out at 12? And have for the past 5 years had to deal with ‘she’s too gay’ how do y’all flip it like that? I didn’t change 🤯,” Ruby tweeted just before disabling her account.

Batwoman is set to make her debut on The CW’s annual crossover event with the network’s four DC shows – The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl – in December. The Batwoman series would hopefully premiere in the 2019-2020 season.
