In a recent interview, the 21-year-old and her co-stars opened up about the show’s first season.
One of the things Brec revealed was which of the stunts in the season was her favorite.
“Probably the fight sequence at the drive-in movie theatre in the very first episode. It was a lot of wire work and I was basically just being drug around… It was a blast! Plus, they actually blew up a car for that scene, which was AWESOME!” she said.
“You might look at these photos and think, oh wow a peace sign, but you would be mistaken. ITS A NUMBER 2 BECAUSE WE JUST GOT PICKED UP FOR A SEASON 2!!!!!” Brec wrote on Instagram. “I seriously love each and every person attached to this project and can’t believe we get to do it all again. In addition to the news, the show will now be airing on the network first, and not on the DC Universe’s streaming platform, THR reports.
For season one, DC’s Stargirl episodes would premiere on the DC Comics service, then air the next day on The CW. Now, the show will have it’s permanent home on The CW, where it will premiere new episodes on TV, and stream on The CW app the next day.
Season one of DC’s Stargirl will also be available to stream on HBO Max after the season finale airs.
The 21-year-old star dished on working with Switched At Birth‘s Lea Thompson, who directed the episode.
“New episode of Stargirl tonight and it’s full of that female power we love. Our amazing director @lea_thompson FREAKING KILLED IT. Working with her was so inspiring. She was so talented, strong, articulate, kind, yet forward with what she wanted… no one wanted her to leave!” Brec wrote on Instagram. “Also @megdelacy is one of the coolest, bad-to-the-bone villains ever, SO YEAH. Okay I’m done raving. Watch it tonight. Xo.”
“Thank you queen. You set a fantastic tone. You are a real leader on and off screen. I was so inspired by your grace strength professionalism and bad assery. Xox. CONGRATS!” Lea commented back.

Brec Bassinger is opening up about the intense training she had to go through for her role as DC’s Stargirl!
The 20-year-old actress stars as the title character in the upcoming series, which premieres next week.
“I did have a background in gymnastics, as well as competitive cheerleading,” she told ComingSoon.net. “I went down to Atlanta, where we were filming, two weeks early, kind of for a ‘stunt training’ camp. We would split up the days between gymnastics, bow staff training and then combat training.
“The combat training and the gymnastics training, they were like, ‘Okay, you’re pretty good at that.’ The bow staff training on the other hand, I was NOT familiar with,” Brec continued. “It’s six feet tall, so it’s a lot taller than me. I’m only 5’2″ on a good day. We focused a lot on that, especially ’cause Courtney uses the staff primarily. My stunt double Kristina, she was absolutely amazing though, so I have to give a lot of props to her.”
