We know there are some haters out there of the pairing of Klaus and Caroline from The Originals…however, they’re in the minority.
Especially since now we know that even the cast are big fans of the pairing.
Claire Holt and Riley Voelkel both opened up about their feelings about the on-screen couple and it’s about the best thing ever.
“Yes! I’m rooting for Klaus to be with anyone at this point, honestly,” Claire revealed to TV Guide in a new interview. “I just want him to, like, settle down and find a nice gal. They’re kind of like Marcel and Rebekah, there’s been love there for a long time, so we’ll see.”
Riley, who plays Freya, is just as excited for the couple.
“I know the fans really love them, and [Candice is] just amazing on and off screen,” she shared, “I think it’s just always exciting to do any kind of crossover from the shows. We’ve enjoyed having anyone from The Vampire Diaries come over and vice versa, and it just is kind of extra special, especially for the fans. So I’m very excited about her coming.”
The Originals is back NEXT Wednesday, April 18th on The CW.
Candice King has 17 days until she returns as Caroline Forbes on The Originals – and she’s chatting all about it in her cover story with NKD magazine.
The 30-year-old actress opens up about how fans gave Klaroline life and what’s ahead of them on the final season of the show.
“Julie Plec always had a very clear idea of what she wanted for Caroline and Klaus together,” she explains. “It wasn’t exactly always in line with what the fans wanted for those characters…she wrote very important moments that she wanted for those characters, but I think she also gave a lot to the fans and what they wanted to see.”
For the final season of The Originals, fans “gave life” to a relationship that they’ve “wanted for so long”.
Candice also admits that her five-episode appearances were originally only supposed to be one.
“When Vampire ended, it was just supposed to be a quick little pop-in to say goodbye to the Caroline and Klaus storyline for the fans,’ she says. “We all felt that it would be really significant and important for anyone who supported – or ‘shipped’ as the kids say – those two together.”
But, it all changed over one dinner.
“One thing led to another, as it usually does with Julie and I. A couple bottles of wine later and I’m in five episodes of the show.”

The first meeting is set to take place in Europe after Rebekah asks for Caroline’s help with an intervention of sorts.
EW also revealed the first look of Jedidah Goodacre, as Hope’s school friend, Roman. If he looks familiar, he should — he’s Chad Charming from Descendants!
Candice King steps out in a sweet look for Entertainment Weekly’s Screen Actors Guild Award Nominees Celebration held at Chateau Marmont on Saturday night (January 20) in Los Angeles.
Fans all over social media are going nuts about seeing pics of Candice and Joseph together — because that hints at a big Klaroline story! (TBH, we’re freaking out too)
As we know from spoilers, during the final season, Caroline will be the go-between for Klaus and his daughter, Hope, as she’s studying at her school, and this is how they will reunite.

We may be seeing more of Caroline in the final season of The Originals than we thought!
Executive producer Julie Plec just confirmed that Caroline will be featured over the course of the season, as opposed to just the first two episodes.
“We’ll see Caroline several times over the season,” Julie wrote on her Twitter.
Julie also added that Caroline will spill about her relationship with Klaus during her appearances.
She added, “They actually have some really interesting convos about their past dynamic and attraction. Seeing it through the prism of Hope’s crush on the ‘bad boy.’ Caroline talks about what drew her to him when she was a teenager.”
We can’t wait for the show to premiere next Spring!
