The event was held to celebrate the season 2 premiere of Amazon Prime’s Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street. To tie in to the show’s themes of friendship, we invited lots of inner city kids to the event to make new friendships and enjoy a fun-filled day with activities such as a petting zoo, arts and crafts, a balloon artist, and yummy food.

The 16-year-old actress/singer teamed up with them and Mentor Up to encourage young people to make handmade Valentine’s Day cards for homebound senior citizens to lift their spirits this holiday season.
“I was interested in being involved as soon as I heard about the Love Letters campaign because the concept was so sweet and original,” China said in a statement. “I love doing things like this and making people smile so I thought the idea was just perfect.”
