Emily Osment Recounts Her Own Harvey Weinstein Experience on Instagram

The more women in Hollywood who speak out about harassment or even just uncomfortable moments, the more women feel comfortable to do the same.

Emily Osment took to Instagram yesterday to detail an encounter she had with Harvey Weinstein when she was younger and to stand with women who are speaking out.

“I have come across so many men like this in my life, in my career, and while pumping gas at Chevron,” the Young & Hungry actress writes.

“This isn’t just an industry thing, it’s an everywhere thing. When I was 19 I was pushing my guitar through the x-ray machine at LAX when a huge man reached across security and slapped his hand on the case, ‘Let me carry that to your gate for you’ he said smiling. ‘No thanks, I got it’ I said to Mr. Weinstein. He persisted. I declined. He asked me where I was traveling to. He asked me again if he could escort me to my gate. I declined again. I was 19.”

Emily continued that she feels “ridiculous” sharing her story because “an icky feeling in your belly is nothing compared to” what some other women have gone through.

“To all the women coming forward about their sexual abuse, I hear you, I believe you, and I got you,” she concludes.

Thank you for speaking out, Emily.

The worst part about this Harvey Weinstein news is that it isn't surprising. I have come across so many men like this in my life, in my career, and while pumping gas at Chevron. This isn't just an industry thing, it's an everywhere thing. When I was 19 I was pushing my guitar through the x-ray machine at LAX when a huge man reached across security and slapped his hand on the case, "Let me carry that to your gate for you" he said smiling. "No thanks, I got it" I said to Mr. Weinstein. He persisted. I declined. He asked me where I was traveling to. He asked me again if he could escort me to my gate. I declined again. I was 19. My own encounter with Harvey is so inconsequential it seems ridiculous to even write about because small fear and an icky feeling in your belly is nothing compared to the stories I'm reading, but I still want to share because small or very, very large, he deserves to have his actions exposed. To all the women coming forward about their sexual abuse, I hear you, I believe you, and I got you. One in five women are sexually assaulted during their time in college, and only 43% of all sexual assaults are ever reported, but that number rises every year. If you see something say something, but most of all, be a friend, listen without judgment and don't pressure someone to come forward if they're not ready. I also want to mention that today is world mental health day so be kind yourself and be kind to others because you never know the shape of the demon someone else is fighting. Who knows, it might look just like the one pictured above.

Emily Osment's Response To Chelsea Kane's Vegas Instagram Is Friendship Goals

Emily Osment's Response To Chelsea Kane's Vegas Instagram Is Friendship Goals

Last week, America was brought to its’ knees with the tragic Vegas massacre, which killed 58 and injured hundreds more at the Route 91 festival.

Not many know, but Chelsea Kane was one of the many concert-goers there and reflected on the shooting on Instagram over the weekend.

Emily Osment was one of the many commenters on Chelsea‘s post, sending nothing but good thoughts to her good friend.

“I’m so happy you’re here with us,” she wrote. “We should all say that more, forever.”

Chelsea responded: “agreed! I’m so happy to know you. Love you, lady.”

Emily Osment Speaks Out About Cyber-Bullying & Mental Health: 'Think Before You Speak'

Emily Osment, like many celebrities, has responded to the controversial Netflix series 13 Reasons Why — and she has a lot to say.

“I watched a few episode of ’13 Reasons Why’ this week and it reminded my of my own journey shooting Cyberbully in Montreal at nineteen,” she shared on Twitter.

“It was a grueling and emotional six weeks that will never leave me as long as I live. I went to work every day and sunk myself into a sorrow hole because I felt it was the only way to truly depict depression. I had to live it, and pulling myself out at the end was incredibly challenging, but ultimately a supremely rewarding experience.”

The Young & Hungry actress then pivots to talking about bullying itself.

“Cyber-bullying doesn’t have an age limit, even a [71] year old can be a bully. I still catch myself affected by what I read online in response to some of my more political or strident tweets.”

“Please think before you speak, let your words and your actions come from your heart and your heart only. And if no one has told you today, let me be the first to say you are beautiful and you are needed.”

Emily Osment Ad-Libbed the Last Line of 'Hannah Montana'

The last line of Hannah Montana was almost totally different!

In a new tweet, former co-star Emily Osment (Lily) reveals that she actually ad-libbed the last line of the whole series.

Miley Cyrus was scripted to say the last line, after that emotional hug with Lily in the dorm hallway.

“I love you so much,” she says.

“I know,” Emily answers.

When a Twitter user brought the last line to the actress’ attention yesterday, Emily responded.

“I ad libbed that so I could have the last line of the whole series,” she wrote.

Emily Osment was one of many young celebrities who took to Twitter yesterday to condemn Donald Trump‘s remarks sympathizing with white supremacists — but she’s using more than words to make her point.

The 25-year-old Young and Hungry star posted an Instagram today (August 16) of her jean jacket, accessorized with a small black pin that reads “IMPEACH” in white bubble letters.

“Now when people ask me why I’m crying in the middle of trader joe’s all I have to do is point,” she captioned the selfie, “#impeach.”

Emily also tweeted yesterday condemning Trump‘s remarks, calling him a “white supremacist,” and urging parents to educate their children so that the future can be better.

'Young & Hungry' Just Pulled Off The Most Romantic Moment Ever with Josh & Gabi - Video

'Young & Hungry' Just Pulled Off The Most Romantic Moment Ever with Josh & Gabi - Video

It’s been almost a week since the spring finale of Young & Hungry, and we’re still not over this moment!

If you watched, then you know that after a knock on the head caused Josh (Jonathan Sadowski) to lose his memory, he actually remembered everything and everyone, except Gabi (Emily Osment).

Things went every way they possibly could in the episode — Gabi worrying that Josh would never remember her, trying to get him to remember her by forcing memories to happen over again, and finally just blurting out that they love each other — but he didn’t remember.

Until the last possible moment.

If you didn’t get to watch, JJJ just spoiled you and we have absolutely no regrets about it.

In the end, you’ll see how this Freeform show pulled off the most incredibly romantic moment ever. Watch!
