Emma Stone and her longtime boyfriend Andrew Garfield have called it quits again and the split is said to be “for good” this time.
The 26-year-old actress and the 32-year-old actor went on a break from their relationship in April and then they got back together soon after. Now sources tell Us Weekly that they split “a couple months ago.”
“They still have a lot of love for one another and they are on good terms with each another and remain close,” an insider said. “It just wasn’t working.”
Emma and Andrew met on the set of their movie The Amazing Spider-Man back in 2011 and kept their relationship private over the years.
ARE YOU SAD that Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have split?
Emma Stone squints her eyes against the sunshine while filming new scenes for La La Land in Pasadena, Calif., on Thursday afternoon (September 24).
It was just announced that the 26-year-old actress is in talks, along with Kate Winslet, to join director Yorgos Lanthimos’ new movie, The Favourite.
The film follows the political machinations behind the scenes during the reign of Queen Anne (Olivia Colman), the last monarch of the House of Stuarts. The story takes place between the end of the 17th century and first years of the 18th century, when Anne reigned from 1702-1707.
Kate would play Sarah, Duchess of Marlborough, the Queen’s close confidante; and Emma would play Abigail Masham, an impoverished, distant relative of Sarah, who gains a position at court tending to the Queen.
