During his interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in support of his upcoming film, Good Boys on Monday (August 5), the 12-year-old actor opened up about how he’d give Harry Styles a run for his money in the role.
“My people have told me it is down to me and Harry Styles for the role of Prince Eric,” Jacob shared. “Listen, Jimmy. Harry Styles, he’s a good-looking dude and he’s got some talent, but I don’t know if he can bring the acting chops and singing chops that I can bring to the table.”

According to THR, the young star is in talks to play the fish friend of Ariel.
Meanwhile, Crazy Rich Asians star Awkwafina is in talks to play Scuttle, the seagull friend of the red-headed princess.
As we all know, the original animated movie, which is based on Hans Christian Andersen‘s story, centers on Ariel who yearns to be human after she falls in love with a prince. Ariel makes a deal with Ursula, who grants her wish but takes her voice.
