Madame Tussauds Hollywood announced today (April 25) that the 26-year-old entertainer’s figure would be revealed next month, and he will be performing one of Jason’s signature dance moves.
All in all, the team took hundreds of measurements of Jason and it was a two-hour process.
“It felt incredible when I got the news that I would be immortalized,” Jason said. “That’s the ultimate level of stardom. I’m like mama, They’re going to make a wax doll out of me and she was like WHAAAT! When I come face-to-face with myself, that’s going to be a very special moment. I have always wanted there to be two me’s and this is finally the opportunity. There will two Derulos! It’s going to be a spectacle!”
The 26-year-old singer performed Rick James‘ classic song “Super Freak” and he battled against former American Idol contestant Katharine McPhee, who did his song “Want to Want Me.” Watch the video below!
The 26-year-old singer is set to perform his new song “If It Ain’t Love” and is also hosting the awards event.
Jason is also nominated for the Triple Threat award for being a singer, host and dancer.
He got hyped for the show the day before when he posted a picture of himself flexing and wrote, “MOOOD I’m hosting “The 2016 Iheart Radio Music Awards tomorrow!!!!” It’s gon be a movie! Don’t miss it!”
