Jesse McCartney catches up on his messages while waiting for a ride at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon (March 9).
The 25-year-old actor stars in the new season of Army Wives — which premieres TONIGHT on Lifetime!
“One of the main reasons I was attracted to play this particular character is because of how lighthearted and sweet the guys is,” Jesse recently told Glamoholic mag. “He’s the kind of person that’s uncomfortable nice to everyone all the time, so, naturally, that leads to a lot of comedic moments, particularly whit his sideman/best friend Hector Cruz, who is almost always in a bad mood.”
He added about training as a soldier, “They put us through boot camp when we arrived in South Carolina and teamed up up with multiple military advisors.”

On how did he get ready for the role: “On top of being physically fit for the job, I wanted to be well educated on the lingo, the ranking system, and how to handle the weapons, so I watched many films and read some books that I knew would shed some light on what I needed to do in order to bring authenticity to the young soldier.”
On his music: “I’m writing and producing my 4th studio Album. I’ve been working on tons of new music all across the board. Some pop stuff, some more R&B stuff.”
On his dream collaborations: “I’d love to write with Bruno Mars at some point. I think he’s one of the finest and freshest pop writers out there. Extremely descriptive and vivid in his writing.”

Jesse McCartney meets up with Pretty Little Liars actress Lucy Hale inside the 2013 “Friends ‘N’ Family” Pre-Grammy Event held at Paramount Studios on Friday night (February 8) in Hollywood.
The two mixed and mingled inside the party, where Carly Rae Jepsen performed her hit ‘Call Me Maybe’ in front of thousands of VIPs and excited guests.
Lucy, 23, just returned from Nashville where she was recording her debut country album.
“My good friend @kristianbush doing some backgrounds on one of my songs today. Love the dude,” she tweeted earlier in the week, followed up by, “Last day of recording. Nashville, you have been so good to me. Back to LA tomorrow!”

Jesse McCartney is all smiles while out walking with a mystery gal on Tuesday afternoon (January 22) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
After a doctor’s appointment, the 25-year-old actor joined his mystery gal and her pup at the gym.
Jesse will guest starring on an upcoming episode of Fox’s new comedy Ben and Kate, in February!
According to EOnline, in the episode, Kate (Dakota Johnson) returns to college and shares a class with BJ (Lucy Punch), who tries to get her to let loose and have fun, but Kate is determined to focus on her studies this time around. But that might be a little bit difficult with Jesse (McCartney), a hot fellow student, trying to get her attention and eventually asking her out.

Maggie is a “sexy and smart Ex-Army Airborne, now a truck driver married to a Staff Sergeant with a teen daughter decided to get out of the Army to devote herself to being a wife and mother”, Deadline writes.
