Joey King just booked her next gig — in Lifetime’s Outlaw Prophet.
The 14-year-old actress will star as Elissa Walls in the upcoming biopic, based upon Stephen Singular‘s New York Times best-selling book “When Men Become Gods” and chronicles Warren Jeffs‘ rise to power after the death of his father, Rulon.
Divergent‘s Tony Goldwyn will play Warren, the leader of the Fundamentalist Mormon polygamist sect who spent more than a year on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted List. He had eluded authorities and was ultimately caught by a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper. The real Warren Jeffs is currently serving a life sentence for two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Joey King dons a bright pink wig as she spends time at the ocean with a cute pooch in the trailer for her upcoming film Wish I Was Here!
Written by, directed by, and starring Zach Braff, the movie tells the story of Aidan Bloom, a struggling actor, father and husband, who at 35 is still trying to find his identity; a purpose for his life.
He winds up trying to home school his two children when his father can no longer afford to pay for private education and the only available public school is on its last legs.
Through teaching them about life his way, Aidan gradually discovers some of the parts of himself he couldn’t find.
