Joey King steps out with a bright smile on her face as she attends the 2011 TeenNick HALO Awards held at the Hollywood Palladium on Wednesday night (October 26) in Hollywood.

The 12-year-old actress just returned from Michigan where she was filming Oz The Great and Powerful opposite James Franco.

In support of the TeenNick HALO Awards, Nickelodeon is partnering with DonorsChoose.org on The HALO Effect.

Here’s what the Halo Effect is: Starting TOMORROW, October 28th, visitors who check out anything HALO on TeenNick.com will get points. The points can then be redeemed for gift codes, which you can use to help fund project requests from high-need public school classrooms across the country.

Joey King hugs a St. Jude patient at Chili’s Grill & Bar on Monday (September 19) in Auburn Hills, Mich.

The 12-year-old actress participated in the event as a VIP server to help support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, drawing pictures and posing for photos with other event attendees.

We’re glad Joey was able to make it to the event despite braving some harsh weather conditions!

Joey King shoots up two peace signs as she arrives at the premiere of The Lion King 3D held at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on Saturday morning (August 27).

“LoVeD Lion King 3D!! My favorite is Pumba! He reminds me of @JayJayThePiggy. Funny/Chubby/Cute” the 12-year-old actress tweeted after the movie.

The Lion King 3D heads to theaters on Friday, September 16th for a limited time — just in time for the Bluray release on October 4th!

Joey King goes wild in an M Frederic Kids dress as she arrives at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday (August 7) at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif.

The 12-year-old actress completed her look with a wrist cuff from Tricia Kuchon.

Joey tweeted, “So excited 2 B going 2 the #TeenChoiceAwards & see my movie sisters @selenagomez & Emma Stone & my friend @taylorswift13 LOVE THEM ALL!!!!”

Joey King is just raking in the roles!

In addition to landing a role in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, it was also just announced that the 11-year-old actress will be starring opposite James Franco in Oz, The Great and Powerful.

Variety reports that Joey will play China Girl, a young character made of porcelain whose family has been destroyed by the villainous Evanora (Rachel Weisz).

James, who plays the wizard, takes pity on China Girl and becomes a bit of a surrogate father.

Oz, The Great and Powerful is set to hit theaters on March 8th, 2013.

Joey King watches on as Taylor Swift performs on stage in the brand-new music video for “Mean.”

The 21-year-old songstress says the video was shot over two days at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, and was written Taylor wrote the treatment to depict the lyrics of the song, including its’ happy endings. Declan Whitebloom directed the video.
