Hailee Steinfeld and Douglas Booth are featured in the trailer for the upcoming Romeo and Juliet remake!

The star-studded cast also includes Ed Westwick, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Christian Cooke, Damian Lewis, and Paul Giamatti.

For those of you unfamiliar with the William Shakespeare classic, Romeo and Juliet is a classic tale of romance and tragedy. Two families of Verona, the Montagues and the Capulets, have been at war with each other for many years. Forbidden love ensues between Romeo and Juliet, two star crossed lovers, forcing the two enemy families to meet once and for all.

Kodi Smit-McPhee has been cast in a lead role for the upcoming flick Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes!

The 16-year-old ParaNorman voice actor will be reuniting with his Let Me In director Matt Reeves.

According to Collider, the sequel takes place 15 years after Rise of the Planet of the Apes and revolves around “the group of human scientists who are struggling to survive alone in San Francisco.”

Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes is currently slated to be released on May 14th, 2014!

Elle Fanning, Nicholas Hoult and Kodi Smit-McPhee have signed on for Young Ones.

Via Variety, the futuristic thriller film will be directed by Jake Paltrow, brother of actress Gwyneth.

The movie is set in a violent near-future where water has become the most precious — and fastest-dwindling — resource on the planet and turns on a 14-year-old boy forced use his wits to survive.

The three young actors, along with Michael Shannon, are currently filming in South Africa’s Northern Cape Desert.

The 16-year-old actor chatted with the new glossy about the “weird” parts he’s offered, vampire movies and voicing the title character in ParaNorman. Check it:

On booking the ‘weird’ parts: “I like it, because they’re usually quiet, with a lot going on inside. So the acting is not all in the talking. It’s more subtle.”

On ParaNorman: “ParaNorman was perfect for me! It was comedy, stop-motion, everything! I just saw it. It’s really funny, but then in the end everything changes. I won’t spoil it for you. I audition for everything, I always audition for random stuff, but I always tend to get the dramatic roles. But people know I’m funny when they get to know me.”

On vampire movies: “I actually really like Twilight! I saw a couple of them, I think I saw the third one and I really liked it. But Let Me In was more deep, it was less about the vampire stuff and more about kids growing up.”

Kodi Smit-McPhee is all smiles at the premiere of his new flick, ParaNorman held at AMC CityWalk on Sunday afternoon (August 5) in Universal City, Calif.

The 16-year-old actor told EW, “It’s pretty ironic and funny that I always get these kind of dramatic, sad, kind of low-down movies that are really intense, I guess. But I don’t mind. I think it’s good to get those types of movies, ’cause they’re the ones that stick with you.”

Kodi was joined on the carpet by costar Jodelle Ferland, who voices Aggie.

Anna Kendrick and Kodi Smit-McPhee hit up the ParaNorman panel during Comic-Con International 2012 held at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel on Friday (July 13) in San Diego, Calif.

The 26-year-old actress and 16-year-old actor joined costar Christopher Mintz-Plasse to chat about their new animated feature, which hits theaters on August 17th.

During the panel (via Collider), Anna dished that “she was really nervous because she’s always wanted to voice an animated character but she’s not great in ADR. She admitted that it was nice to not have to go into makeup and such when performing for ParaNorman,” but did admit that she always wore pink juicy couture when recording.

Her character, Courtney, wears a similar looking jumpsuit in the movie.

Kodi and Christopher also performed a little at the panel — Christopher started beat-boxing his song “Season of the Witch” (which he sings in the movie) and Kodi joined in with a little break dancing.
