Lana Condor Talks How Millennials Are Shaping What's Coming Next in Hollywood

Lana Condor makes us fall in love with her even more on the winter 2018 cover of Euphoria.

The 21-year-old actress opened up about her Deadly Class role (“I get to learn fight combos and sword work, and I get to ride around on a motorcycle all the time, which is really exciting”) and about how millennials are reshaping what Hollywood is.

“I think millennials, in particular, are a very vocal group,” Lana shares. “We’re very steadfast in our beliefs, and I think that with streaming content so readily available to us and millennials being a huge audience with those streaming platforms, I think we’re just seeing so much content and knowing when it’s not representative of what it looks like outside and so then we speak up about it.”

She adds, “I think they’ve been able to ignore it for a while, but now with social media and everyone’s reach and influence, in the world, there’s more of a demand for a diverse cast.”

“Millennials knowing and wanting to use their voices is probably the reason why we’re seeing more representation in film and television.”

A Sequel for 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' Is Definitely Happening... With a New Title?

It’s finally official – Netflix has greenlit a sequel to the hit movie To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before… and we’ve learned that a new title is in the works for the second movie!

Lana Condor, Noah Centineo, and Israel Broussard led the cast of the first film. No casting has yet been confirmed for the sequel.

The upcoming sequel will be the first movie produced within a new partnership between Netflix and Paramount.

Paramount’s parent company Viacom recently acquired AwesomenessTV, the company that produced the original. Viacom CEO Bob Bakish says that the sequel “might have a sexier title over time,” according to Deadline.

Fans have been clamoring for a sequel following the massive success of the first film, which is “one of the most-viewed films of all time on the platform.”

Lana Condor Dishes On Her Height Difference With Noah Centineo in 'TATBILB'

Guys, Lana Condor is short, and Noah Centineo is tall.

This is not anything new, but the story of how the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before stars filmed their make out scenes in the film is.

While at the Vulture Festival, Lana opened up about how she actually had to wear the platform combat boots, which were right up Lara Jean’s style alley.

“When we auditioned and chemistry read together, at the end of the chemistry read you have to stand next to the person you read with and you have to take a picture to show the producers the height difference,” Lana shared. “When we went into a camera test, after we’d already been cast, I didn’t make it into a frame with him, because he’s that much taller than me. I heard the producers were like, ‘What is happening?’”

“Later, Noah told me he would stand behind me and scrunch down to make himself look shorter,” Lana added. “It’s sweet, that’s how much he wanted the job.”

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is still streaming on Netflix now.
