Lana Condor Reveals Her Favorite Scenes With Noah Centineo

Lana Condor is opening up about her absolute favorite scenes to film with Noah Centineo in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before – and we’re squealing over them!

During an interview with Decider, the 21-year-old actress shared that all the kissing scenes between Lara Jean and Peter were her faves.

“That’s so hard because I love them all!” she exclaimed when asked about the scenes she loved the most. “But I think my favorite was when Lara Jean comes up to him and she’s like, ‘Let’s do this’ and he just grabs her and kisses her in front of everyone, not caring at all what anyone else thought.”

Lana adds, “I love that because it was so unexpected. But then also the hot tub scene was great because we got to spend the day in the hot tub. Filming kissing scenes with Noah was one of my favorite things.”

Lana also opened up about how she cemented her friendship with Noah off screen.

“We were pretty connected from day one. Very early on in the stages of production, we went to yoga together,” she shared. “It was hot yoga and I feel like that maybe was the moment where we became friends outside of work as well. You know, doing yoga with a person is kind of intimate so I think doing that [at the beginning of] shooting, really helped us connect and feel comfortable around each other.”

She continues, “It’s like a weird ‘Hi nice to meet you’ icebreaker but it was very attractive and I love that memory because it’s just so fun.”

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is streaming now on Netflix.

Lana Condor and Noah Centineo get a sneak peek of a scene they just filmed in this behind-the-scenes pic from To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.

The new Netflix film was met with a lot of praise over the weekend, and it looks like the cast still want to make the sequels.

Director Susan Johnson is on board too.

“We were having dinner, Lana, Israel and I, and I was like, ‘What do we think? Are we going to do the next one? Is it going to happen?,’” she told Metro. “They responded, ‘Yes! Make it happen. Before we get too old. We don’t want to be 30 doing these roles.’ Everybody involved is excited about it. We would love to keep the band together, so lets cross our fingers.”

When (we’re nixing that whole “if” thing) the sequels do get picked up, they’ll probably film them back-to-back.

“We thought about it while we were casting the movie. And we knew we would only get a few more years of teenage years out of these guys anyway. So we sort of were prepared for it.”

Lana Condor Tried Surfing Once & Once Was Good Enough For Her

Lana Condor is our favorite person right now after killing it as Lara Jean in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, which is out on Netflix now.

Now, in a new interview with Marie Claire, the 21-year-old actress opened up about her favorite things including her favorite sport – and her answer just makes relate to her so, so much.

After citing surfing as her favorite, Lana explained that it was because it “looks beautiful and graceful. You think, ‘Oh, this is going to be easy.’ But it’s really, really not.”

Lana adds, “One time I went bodysurfing in St. Bart’s with a friend. The waves were so intense, and my body was just getting torn up by them. But it was so freeing…but also I’m never doing that again.”

LOL – same, Lana. Same.

Lana Condor Cried After Seeing 'Crazy Rich Asians'

Lana Condor Cried After Seeing 'Crazy Rich Asians'

Lana Condor found herself deeply emotional over the new rom-com Crazy Rich Asians.

The 21-year-old To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before actress saw a screening of the flick, which features a cast almost entirely of Asians.

What led her to tears at the end of the film was “seeing other people that look like me do this successfully,” she said, via Vanity Fair.

Lana was born in Vietnam, but was adopted by white American parents. “I grew up very American, but also fully Asian,” she added.

“I’ve heard people say it’s an exciting ‘trend’ right now,” Lana said about Asian representation. “We’re not a trend!”

“I hope it’s just not this summer. I hope it goes into fall and winter and spring—and forever and ever and ever,” she continued.

A lot of times, pictures can tell us a thousand stories – but one picture of Lana Condor told just one to author Jenny Han – and that was Lara Jean’s story in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.

Jenny opened to Teen Vogue in a new interview about her love for Lana, who she was a fan of even before they met.

Turns out that one particular picture Lana posted on her Instagram helped her a lot in securing the role of Lara Jean for the Netflix film, out today.

“She posted a picture of herself at a soda fountain, a ‘50s-style soda fountain counter, and the picture was really pastel and all sherbet-y colors, and she was wearing a headband, and she just looks so sweet and charming,” Jenny says of the pic, which was taken in 2016, and you can see below.

The whole picture screamed Lara Jean to Jenny too.

“I think that she’s a throwback kind of a character,” Jenny says. “She likes vintage, she’s romantic, she likes Americana. When it came down to making the moodboard, I said that her style is like ‘60s meets ‘90s meets Asian streetwear.”

She adds that Lara Jean is “someone who goes to the vintage store to look for clothes; she’s also somebody who’s looking at Asian streetwear blogs of people just walking around Tokyo or Seoul or Hong Kong.”
