Camila Mendes Says Her & Lili Reinhart's 'Seventeen Mexico' Cover is Way Better Than KJ Apa & Cole Sprouse's Covers

Camila Mendes and Lili Reinhart share one of the covers for Seventeen Mexico‘s new December 2017 issue.

The two Riverdale stars star on the new cover, and co-stars KJ Apa and Cole Sprouse have also gotten their own covers — however, Camila still wants you to choose Beronica over them.

“grab a copy of @seventeenmx if you wanna practice reading in español,” Camila captions on her own Instagram.

As for why you should choose Beronica over the guys, it’s really simple: “Get the one with the blonde and brunette on the cover, it’s wayyyyy better than kj’s and cole’s i promise.”

Love this reason!

Lili Reinhart Reveals There's a Reason Betty Isn't Wearing Her Ponytail So High on 'Riverdale'

Lili Reinhart Reveals There's a Reason Betty Isn't Wearing Her Ponytail So High on 'Riverdale'

Lili Reinhart‘s Betty Cooper has gone through hell and back again on Riverdale so far this season.

The actress chatted with Bustle about the psychological effects that doing Black Hood’s bidding is having on Betty — and it’s not good.

“It brought me closer to Betty; it made me feel like I got to know her better on a personal level,” she shared. “It wasn’t Betty’s interaction with anyone else, it was just focusing on her and all the different shades and sides of her and her darkness. It made me feel a lot closer to the character that I play, which is an opportunity that I don’t think people get to have.”

Working with Black Hood to protect herself and her friends has also taken a toll on Betty’s look. Did anyone notice how her ponytail isn’t as high and the dark circles under her eyes?

“I wanted to show Betty’s emotional state through her appearance. I remember reading episode 5 and calling down and saying in the last scene when she has broken things off with everyone, I want to be in a pale sweater and I want to look completely washed out, I want to have barely any makeup on. I want to look like a hollow person,” Lili says.

“I wanted her to look hollow because she is at the end, because she has no one,” she adds. “The Black Hood has completely ripped apart everything that she thought about who she was and made her rethink who she was.”

Lili continues, “My hair changes: at first she tries to put on a facade like things are OK then progressively throughout the episode the hair comes down, it is in a low pony, then my makeup starts to dissipate as well, and added some dark under eye circles to help give that hollow look.”

Lili Reinhart Defends Herself After Calling Out 'Rude Fans' For Trying to Take Sneaky Pics of Her At Lunch

Lili Reinhart Defends Herself After Calling Out 'Rude Fans' For Trying to Take Sneaky Pics of Her At Lunch

Lili Reinhart has responded back to a Twitter user after calling out two fans for taking sneaky pics of her at lunch.

The Riverdale actress has opened up about this before and how it’s rude to assume that just because she’s on a television show, she should drop everything to take a photo.

“No, no, no. This is what’s wrong — you think you’re entitled to take a photo of me while I’m alone and eating because I’m on a tv show,” she wrote back to another user who called her out about it. “So I asked for it, right? Wrong.”

Lili adds, “I am a human being. I am not Betty Cooper. You aren’t entitled to me. At all.”

Speaking with Elle recently, Lili talked openly about situations like this where 9 times out of 10, she will be friendly and offer to take a picture with you. However, don’t do it sneakily, like these two fans did — ask!

“No one’s forcing me or any other celebrity to take time out of their day to say hi to these fans or do these things. It’s just something we do nine times out of 10 because we love and appreciate our fans,” she says.

Lili added, “There is a sense of guilt that you can feel sometimes for not meeting their expectations, but that’s kind of wrong for me to think that way, because I am a person. I play Betty, but I’m not Betty. I’m not on 24/7.”

Lili Reinhart Says Fans Shouldn't Be Too Worried About Betty & Veronica's Relationship on 'Riverdale'

Lili Reinhart Says Fans Shouldn't Be Too Worried About Betty & Veronica's Relationship on 'Riverdale'

Lili Reinhart‘s Betty went through a roller coaster of emotions on last night’s Riverdale.

The actress opened up to multiple outlets about what’s ahead for Betty, Bughead and Beronica.

“It was an intimidating episode for me because of how emotional it was,” Lili shared with Elle magazine. “It definitely was one of my hardest episodes, having to get all my emotions out there. It was intense—and a lot of crying—for that one, and I kind of put myself in deep, dark places to see all of these dark shades of Betty.”

It got especially dark for Lili “when she has to sever her ties with Veronica and Jughead — it’s devastating to watch as an audience member because you know that she’s not doing it to hurt them or on purpose. She’s doing it because she’s being forced against her will.”

We’re pulling for Bughead to come out on the other side stronger, just like we know Betty and Veronica will be doing as well.

“I wouldn’t worry too much about Betty and Veronica,” Lili assures fans. “I think it may take some time to ease back in, but when your best friend is your best friend, you fight and get over it because you love each other.”

But, speaking of Bughead…Lili does hope that Betty gets a chance to explain herself to Jughead after all of this is over…hopefully, it will be over one day.

“And to reconcile with him,” she adds. “But with the Black Hood still being a present figure in her life, it’s hard to imagine that her relationship with anyone can continue, or go back to the way it was.”

Cole Sprouse Opens Up About Betty & Jughead's Breakup on 'Riverdale'

Cole Sprouse Opens Up About Betty & Jughead's Breakup on 'Riverdale'

The thing we never wanted to happen on Riverdale happened — and Bughead’s breakup is breaking our hearts!

Cole Sprouse spoke with Collider after the episode last night, where we saw Archie break up with Jughead for Betty, as she was being threatened by Black Hood to do it.

It was a moment Jughead maybe saw coming ahead of time, too.

“There’s that one line in it, too, that he goes, ‘No, you guys haven’t been good’ and he’s trying to lie to himself and he goes, ‘No, I saw her earlier!’ But he knows he’s on the Southside now, and he knows he’s been away from everyone,” Cole says.

He adds, “I think Archie is also Jughead’s weakness when it comes to Betty, because they were kind of the three amigos when they were young, but Betty had always favored Archie and it’s something that will definitely see prevalence later on in the season, and just how much of a friendship Betty and Jughead had, even though it was just the three of them when they were younger or if Jughead felt more like a third wheel.”

“So Archie coming to deliver the bad news is not only a slap from Betty, but really a slap from Archie too, which I think is something we explore a lot later.”

While we don’t know when or even if Bughead will reunite, one thing that Cole says is that Jughead will regret not being there for Betty as she’s being forced into these bad situations by Black Hood.

“Definitely,” he says without a beat about his Jughead’s regrets. “The first half of this season for Jughead is like establishing the world that is the Southside, with the inevitable kind of civil war between the North and the South, in which Jughead’s narrative becomes a lot more prevalent, in the same way from the first season.”

He adds, “He’s kind of stretched as thin as possible right now…I think he’ll end up regretting quite a bit that he wasn’t around for Betty, but I also don’t think Jughead thinks Betty can’t take care of herself, which I think is important.”

Lili Reinhart & KJ Apa Tease Betty & Archie's Unique Bond on 'Riverdale'

Lili Reinhart & KJ Apa Tease Betty & Archie's Unique Bond on 'Riverdale'

Remember last week when Betty got that note from Black Hood on Riverdale? Well, it’s about to happen again on tonight’s episode.

Lili Reinhart teases that Betty will get another call from the mysterious serial killer on the loose and the person she turns to won’t be Kevin Keller of Jughead Jones — it will be Archie Andrews.

“Betty ends up confiding in Archie,” Lili shared with TVLine. “[It will give viewers a chance to see] how she confides in him and how they help one another.”

KJ Apa added that the two friends share a unique bond: “I think Archie’s number-one person to go to for help, or advice, or just someone to talk to, has always been Betty, for as long as he can remember… They’re best friends, and when s—t hits the fan, Betty goes to Archie, and Archie goes to Betty.”

Speaking of Black Hood though, Lili compares it to “the Phantom of the Opera and Christine, in a way.”

“He wants to kind of puppeteer her in order to get the town to where he wants it to be, in a very sick and manipulative way,” she says. “He is this horrible figure who wants to expel Riverdale of its sins, and he is using Betty to try and do that.”

Madelaine Petsch Doesn't Mind Being Mean to Lili Reinhart on 'Riverdale'

Madelaine Petsch Doesn't Mind Being Mean to Lili Reinhart on 'Riverdale'

Madelaine Petsch and Lili Reinhart may be BFFs IRL, but that certainly isn’t the case on Riverdale — and they’re okay with that.

“People ask me all the time: How can I be so mean to my best friends?” Madelaine recounted on Sweetwater Secrets, “but those are the people you want to do it with.”

“If I was to be an awful human being like Cheryl to people I didn’t know I would be mortified,” she continued.

That definitely makes sense: filming fighting scenes with your best friend would be much more comfortable than a complete stranger!

“It was really fun too to have the dynamic change between Betty and Cheryl,” Madelaine continued, referring to a scene from last week’s episode. “I think it was a really cool moment.”

Cole Sprouse Reveals That Riverdale's Toni Topaz 'Has Her Own Agenda'

Cole Sprouse Reveals That Riverdale's Toni Topaz 'Has Her Own Agenda'

Toni Topaz came onto the scene for the first time in last week’s Riverdale episode, and the longtime cast members have a lot to say about Vanessa Morgan‘s new character.

“It’s kind of up in the air whether she’s actually helping or hindering Jughead,” Cole Sprouse told Sweetwater Secrets. “She has her own agenda and it’s revealed what that agenda is overtime. Toni is trying to coax him into the Serpents. She’s a character that resonates with Jughead mentally quite a bit so he has an easy time not seeing the red flags.”

As for the Bughead relationship, while Toni shakes up both Jughead and Betty’s life, she is not responsible for tearing them apart.

“Toni Topaz is the opposite of Betty,” Lili Reinhart said. “She does cause a rift a little bit, kind of a change in Betty’s world. She causes a little bit of trouble but she’s not like an enemy to the Bughead fans. I don’t really think of her character that way. She’s a lot more of Jughead’s ally on the South Side.”

Riverdale airs TONIGHT @ 8PM ET/PT on The CW.
