Lorde is thanking her fans after learning that her second album, Melodrama, has earned the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200.

The singer took to social media to share her love and appreciation.

MUSIC: Listen to Lorde‘s new album Melodrama

“You guys, today we have the number one album in america,” she tweeted on Monday (June 26). “From the bottom of my heart, thankyou.

“Royals was, to quote david chase, ‘a moonshot, a dreadnought,’” she went on. “There were no such guarantees with melodrama—that’s why this means so much.”

“When i was a kid i thought big records had to be made a certain way—to be sterile & calculated in craft; that something had to be sacrificed,” she added.

Jake Miller Shares The Sweetest Story About 'Palm Blvd' (Exclusive)

Jake Miller Shares The Sweetest Story About 'Palm Blvd' (Exclusive)

We don’t know about you, but Jake Miller‘s relationship with his sister, Jenny, is sibling goals.

You can feel the love the musician has for sister, showcased in his latest Instagram, in honor of her birthday.

Jake and Jenny‘s bond is so strong that before his new album, 2 AM in LA, was released, she was supposed to be featured on “Palm Blvd”.

“No one knows that my sister, Jenny, is an amazing singer — she doesn’t sing in front of any other people, but she’s amazing — and originally she was supposed to sing a verse on it,” Jake told us in an interview.

Jenny was supposed to sing the second verse of the track, but ultimately ended up not doing it.

“We had it all written in her point of view, and I had flight booked to go back to Florida and get her in the studio,” Jake says. “Right when I was supposed to fly there though, she called my crying. She really wanted to do it, but she didn’t feel that she had the courage to put herself out there and open to criticism like that.”

We definitely love “Palm Blvd” the way it is (seriously, it’s our jam), but would’ve loved to hear Jenny sing on it. We know it would’ve been even more amazing.

Jake adds about the song, and the meaning behind it, “I just had so many amazing memories looking back in my childhood and being that 12-year-old kid who just ran around and played baseball with my friends and did stupid pranks.”

“That’s what the song is about, just about throughout the craziness and throughout Hollywood and my career and the music industry — never forgetting that young kid inside me and always remembering where I come from and my roots.

“It’s always been a huge thing that my parents had instilled in me; Never forget where I’m from, how I was raised, my morals.”

Martina Stoessel Is Working With 'Despacito' Producers On New Music

Martina Stoessel is getting back in the studio for new music and working with the powerhouse producers behind “Despacito”, Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo.

In a new interview with Clarin, the three open up about teaming up for new music and more.

“We are testing sounds that I would not have imagined I would be playing,” Tini shared. “These are things I listen to since I was a little girl at home, a mix of Latin, what I like here, what I like to dance or to listen to with my friends. ”

Andrew added, “We are happy to work with her, we believe in this project. At the moment we are still in search of sounds.”

For Mauricio, he’s really impressed with Tini and her drive: “She does in half an hour what another singer takes two hours.”

Tini adds, “I like this process of making a song from the beginning until it is finished, being with the composers, telling them what to talk about, what rhythms I like and what not.”

When speaking of the hit “Despacito”, Tini is just as much a fan as you are of it.

“I remember that I first heard it coming back with my dad from Cariló and I said ‘This is going to be a success’, and when Justin Bieber sang it he killed me,” she says.

We can’t wait to hear the finished product!

Lorde Reveals Her Song 'The Louvre' Is All About The Magic of a Crush

Lorde‘s new album, Melodrama, is filled with so many great songs that we can hardly choose our favorites.

But, “The Louvre”, is definitely on that we will listen to over and over again and we’re not sorry about it.

“It’s a song about a crush,” Lorde revealed during her Beats 1 performance. “It’s about having a crush and the most potent crushes always happen in summer.”

“You’re always drinking a summery drink. Sort of that perfumed night air. Such a magic to it,” she continues.

“This is a song about a crush that endured and took twists and turns and I was documenting how fast I fell and the magic of that.”

Lorde adds, “People have to make girls feel stupid for getting in it too deep you know…when someone texts me a full stop I think, do they hate me now? I think it’s one of my strengths that I fall the way I do. For a place, for a season, for a person. I think there’s something cool about wearing your heart on your sleeve it’s magic.”
