Scotty McCreery batters up for City of Hope’s 2013 Celebrity Softball Challenge held at Greer Stadium on Saturday morning (June 8) in Nashville, Tenn.
The 19-year-old country singer played alongside Lauren Alaina, Kree Harrison, Phil Vassar, Florida Georgia Line and more for the annual game.
“When we’re out there, we’ve all got big smiles on our faces,” Scotty told the Tennessean. “It means a lot to us as artists.”
The annual softball game puts country stars side-by-side with City of Hope patients in a fun game to raise money for City of Hope’s research, treatment and education programs.

The 19-year-old singer presented an award during the night’s festivities.
“Congrats to my good friend @Lauren_Alaina on her win for New Artist of the Year! She totally deserves it!” he tweeted as Lauren won the New Artist award.
Over the weekend, Scotty participated in TNT’s Christmas In Washington event in the nation’s capital which will air next week.
