Spring Breakers follows the four college students who land in jail after robbing a restaurant to fund their spring break trip. After being bailed bailed out by Alien (James Franco), a drug-dealer and gunrunner, they’re seduced into his world.

“I was getting kind of repetitive in terms of the roles I was picking, and I really wanted to do something that was completely different,” Selena, 19, shared. “It was a mark thing for me—like, ‘This is what I want to be doing.’ I want to be taking myself seriously as an actress, and this was definitely a stretch. I mean, I’d never smoked a cigarette before in my entire life. It was really funny—they had to show me how to do it.”

Ashley, 22, added, “[Director] Harmony [Korine] wanted to break us all out of the good-girl mold. For Selena, Vanessa, and me, our audience is all in their teens or younger, so they’re not even going to be able to see this when it comes out—it’s not appropriate.”

The 19-year-old actress shared in a statement, “! am excited to make my own fragrance that is romantic, rich, and sweet. I wanted to make a fragrance that is able to make my fans feel special. I’ve been working on it for a while, so I can make it something different. I can’t wait for everyone to smell it.”

Chatting with MTV, Selena also opened up about her Aftershock cameo: “I was in Chile doing a concert and he [Eli Roth] was shooting a movie called Aftershock and he asked if I wanted to make a cameo. And I did!”

She added, “It’s actually a very funny scene with him and I improving. And it’s cute. Well, I mean, the movie’s not cute. It’s actually scary, but the scene was cute.”

The 19-year-old actress sent out a message on Twitter, inviting her fans to come and shop with her and tons showed up!

“At The Grove Kmart checking out Dream Out Loud. First five who go to Customer Service & show this message retweeted/liked will shop with me!” Selena wrote.

Selena posted on Facebook after the fun afternoon, “Thanks to everyone who showed up to my surprise Dream Out Loud shopping spree at The Grove Kmart. Each winner received 100 dollar gift card to use, I even showed off my favorite pieces. So much fun!!!!”

Selena Gomez heads out to lunch with mom Mandy on Wednesday afternoon (April 25) in Studio City, Calif.

The mother-daughter duo dined out with a family friend at Casa del Sole for an afternoon snack.

Selena recently chatted with us about her duet with Selena Quintanilla on the tribute album.

“It was amazing!” Selena dished. “I was completely honored when they asked me to be on the tribute CD and when I went into the studio to record they actually had her vocals in the booth that she was in, so I felt like she was singing right next to me. It gave me chills! It was incredible and it was a great experience and it was a great song.”

Selena is also pictured grabbing a quick snack from McDonald’s early this week.

JJJ recently chatted with Selena to chat about her new fragrance, which debuts next month at Macy’s.

“I always tell my fans that they mean everything to me and that their opinions matter and that I really do care about what they think, so I asked them to be a part of creating the fragrance. It was perfect, they had great opinions. It was fun!,” she shared with us.

Selena added about owning any other celeb fragrances when she was younger, “I did! I had a Selena doll and a Britney doll. I also had Mary-Kate and Ashley’s fragrances, I actually got their new fragrances every Christmas.”
