Selena Gomez Talks 'Wizards of Waverly Place' Revival, Says It's 'Not a Reboot'

Selena Gomez is dishing on the upcoming Wizards of Waverly Place revival!

The 31-year-old actress and singer will be reprising her role of Alex Russo in the pilot episode, and she’s serving as an executive producer.

During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote her new single “Love On,” Selena teased what to expect from the Disney Channel revival!

“It’s not a reboot. It’s gonna be a different version, I guess,” she told Jimmy. “It’s gonna be really fun. I was excited to bring the characters back.”

Selena also confirmed that the new series will include a heavy dose of magic!

“Well, yeah. I am the family wizard,” she said. “I’m excited for you guys to see it.”
