Happy Birthday, Keke Palmer!

The True Jackson VP starlet turns 17 today, and instead of getting presents, she’s asking for something else from her fans and family.

Keke blogged on her official site, “Hey guys, I have been working with charities that help children starting way back when I was in Akeelah and The Bee, but I have never done anything like this, I was just so moved by My Charity Water and wanted to help bring clean water to children, water should be clean and available to all people at least that is how I feel, I just want to help in some way.

“On August 26th I turn 17, but instead of birthday presents this year I am asking friends, family, and fans to help me bring clean water to children. I have been so very blessed in my life and it would truly be a great birthday if I could use it to help someone in need. Much Love Ya’ll, Keke P.”
