Hunter Hayes jams out on a guitar on stage during the upcoming Country Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock special which will air on ABC on September 17th.
The 21-year-old country musician recently chatted with Nola.com about that video with Hank Williams, Jr.
“I love and hate that video at the same time. I love it because it’s with Hank Williams Jr. and that’s awesome. But I hate it because I was a little kid, and I hate watching myself,” Hunter shared.
He added, “I was too young to be [intimidated]. At that point, it was just, ‘Can I play some music? Awesome. Cool.’ Even nowadays, it’s still like that: ‘Can we play? OK, cool.’”
