OlderPixie Lott: Poppy Appeal Concert!
Pixie Lott keeps up the energy on stage as she performs at the 2012 Poppy Appeal Launch Concert at Trafalgar Square in London on Wednesday morning (October 24).
The 20-year-old musician and face of Poppy Appeal 2012 launched the Royal British Legion’s annual fundraising drive with Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon.
Earlier in the week, Pixie visited London’s RAF Northolt to see forces’ families and was also treated to a demonstration by the Queen’s Colour Squadron RAF regiment.
“What struck me the most was how young they all were. It’s amazing the selfless commitment – their bravery is beyond words. That’s why I’m standing shoulder to shoulder with our brave boys and girls,” Pixie shared with The Sun.
She added (via Belfast Telegraph), “It was amazing, I have never done anything like that before, to meet the soldiers and their families and the children – and just the sacrifices they make and how important the money raised is to help them.”
