Quvenzhane Wallis To Star in Will Smith's 'Annie' Remake

Quvenzhane Wallis has officially been cast in the title role of the upcoming remake of Annie!

The nine-year-old actress is currently the youngest person to ever be nominated for an Oscar for her role in Beasts of the Southern Wild.

Annie will be produced by Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Jay-Z. Will‘s daughter Willow Smith was originally supposed to play Annie, but decided to drop out.

The film is set to be released during the holiday season of 2014!
