Shailene Woodley 'Definitely' Read 'Divergent'

Shailene Woodley keeps a low profile as she arrives at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Sunday night (July 21).

The 21-year-old actress just returned from 2013 Comic-Con where she promoted her new film, Divergent, with her cast mates.

“I definitely read the book,” Shai told Collider at the annual event. “I read the book before there was a script that I read. Luckily for me, it was written from Tris’ point of view.”

She continued, “Veronica [Roth, author] did a lot of the work for me. Before scenes, I would go back to the book and see what Veronica put in there, in Tris’ mind, to understand the mind-set of each scene. That really helped me a lot, to get into the emotional stature of where Tris was.”

FYI: Shailene is carrying a Marni bag.
