Jesse McCartney Talks 'Back Together' on 'Today'

Jesse McCartney performs his brand new single “Back Together” on The Today Show in New York City on Wednesday morning (August 14).

The 26-year-old musician opened up about taking the song after writing it for Hot Chelle Rae.

He shared, “I got in the studio with this amazing group of producers called The Eleven as well as Nash and Ryan from Hot Chelle Rae. We were writing this song and originally it was for their record. Halfway through the process, I was like, ‘Hey, you think I could have this one?’”

Jesse added, “We had just finished a song for them and I was like, ‘Hey, this was two in a row. Gimme one.’ So I ended up cutting it.”
