Tye Sheridan Wins at Venice Film Festival 2013

Tye Sheridan shows off his award during the closing ceremonies during the 2013 Venice International Film Festival held at the Palazzo del Cinema on Saturday night (September 7) in Venice, Italy.

The 16-year-old actor picked up the Marcello Mastroianni Award for the Best Young Actor for his role in Joe.

Joe follows an ex-con (Nicolas Cage) in the Deep South befriending a troubled kid (Sheridan) whose family are in dire economic straits.

Nolan Gerard Funk is also pictured on the red carpet at the ceremony.
