Lorde Opens Up About How She Got Discovered - Listen Now!

Who knew?!? Lorde was actually discovered at the age of 12!

The 16-year-old New Zealand native called into Ryan Seacrest‘s radio show to talk about how she got her start. “I sang at my school talent show and my record company saw [a video] and they approached me,” she said.

As for her hit song “Royals,” Lorde said it’s “about how my reality is not the reality of pop music at the time…I don’t even know if you can get Grey Goose in New Zealand.”
