Alexa Vega: ‘Machete Kills’ Has Opened Doors For Me

The day before, the 25-year-old newly-engaged actress stopped by a local TV station to promote the film in Philadelphia, Pa.

“The truth is, at the end of the day when people see you on the screen as a little kid, nobody wants you to grow up,” Alexa told the New York Daily News. “I’m going to keep playing younger roles for as long as I can because once that ship sails there’s no turning back,” she says. I don’t want to move on too quickly, but [Machete Kills] has opened new doors for me. I want a colorful career and to keep people guessing.”
