'The Sound of Music Live' - Meet The Von Trapp Kids!

Meet the new Von Trapp kids!

Announced earlier this week, seven new comers will give a new life to the Von Trapp children in NBC’s The Sound of Music Live!

From left to right, clockwise: Ella Watts-Gorman (Louisa), Sophia Caruso (Brigitta), Grace Rundhaug (Marta), Michael Nigro (Friedrich), Carrie Underwood (Maria), Ariane Rinehart (Liesl), Peyton Ella (Gretl), and Joe West (Kurt).

Based on the popular Broadway production and 1965 film starring Julie Andrews, the three-hour production tells the story of a militaristic but warm-hearted Capt. Georg von Trapp (Stephen Moyer) who engages a young governess, Maria (Underwood), whom he hires to take care of his seven children.

The Sound of Music Live! will premiere on Thursday, December 5th.
