Rose McIver: 'The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug' Premiere

Rose McIver is gorgeous in green at the premiere of The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug held at TCL Chinese Theatre on Monday night (December 2) in Hollywood.

The 25-year-old New Zealand-born actress joined the stars of the film Evangeline Lilly, Orlando Bloom, Stephen Fry, director Peter Jackson and Ed Sheeran on the carpet.

In case you didn’t know, Rose currently stars on Once Upon A Time as Tinkerbell!

“What’s cool is that because the story is so full, and the character is so three-dimensional – she’s jealous and possessive, but also encouraging and delightful – my job was to also bring the grounded, human element to her,” Rose recently shared about her role in the fantasy series.

She added, “She’s a fairy, but as you see, her wings are taken away. So I had to play someone who’d lost their sense of identity.”
